Hey,

I'm Cyrus.

Welcome to this alphabet game sleep meditation,

Where you'll use your free-flowing creativity to enter a deeply restful sleep and get an incredible night of rest.

Start off by arranging your room in a way that's conducive for a deep sleep,

And when you feel ready,

Slide into your restful nest into a comfortable position for sleep.

Take one slow,

Easeful breath in through the nose,

And exhale out through the mouth.

Take another slightly slower and fuller deep breath in to the whole body,

And let it ripple out like a wave washing to shore,

Letting the body relax as you exhale,

And to seal your entry into that more restful state,

Take one more super slow,

Super deep breath into the whole body,

Down into the toes,

And let it roll out through the mouth and through the nose,

Releasing any accumulated tension as you exhale.

And now,

Let's begin the alphabet game,

Where you'll just allow your mind to float and come up with the name of something in a category that starts with the letters that we choose.

Let's begin in a relaxed way,

I invite you to think of three movies that start with the letters A,

B,

And C.

And now bring your attention to your forehead and your eyes,

Notice any subtle tension there,

And gently breathe into your forehead and eyes and allow the little muscles to soften in that area.

And again,

Allow your mind to float and think of three animal names that start with the letters D,

E,

And F.

And notice your jaw now and see if you can relax any subtle tension in your jaw.

Let your mind float again and think of three names of countries that start with G,

H,

And I.

And notice your neck and throat and just allow any subtle strain or tension held there to soften as you breathe into it and relax on the exhale.

And as your mind floats,

Notice three city or town names that start with J,

K,

And L.

And notice your shoulders,

Arms,

And hands,

And any subtle holding they were doing.

And see if you can breathe a calming energy down the arms and hands and allow that to release.

And allow your mind to float and find three musician or band names that start with the letters M,

N,

And O.

Notice any subtle tension or closed off quality in your chest and heart area.

Breathe in slowly to the heart and allow it to soften and blossom and open on the exhale.

And as your mind floats,

Allow yourself to receive three names of different kinds of food that start with the letters P,

Q,

And R.

And I invite you to notice your stomach and belly area and gently breathe into it.

Allow any closure in that area to soften and open as you exhale.

And as you float,

See if you can think of three objects that start with the letters S,

T,

And U.

Allow your attention to wash down into your legs and feet.

And as you breathe into the legs and feet,

Allow any holding or subtle tension of the muscles to release and relax.

Now see if you can think of two names that start with V and W.

You might take another gentle breath in and release anything you've been holding onto on the exhale,

Letting it wash away for now.

And as your mind floats,

See if you can think of an instrument or a device that scans people's bodies that starts with the letter X,

Or both for bonus points.

Notice what happens as you take a slow,

Effortless breath in to your entire body and allow yourself to relax on a level deeper than you even thought possible on the exhale,

Not thinking but feeling yourself releasing into this exhale,

Into this relaxation.

And finally,

As your mind floats,

Allow yourself to receive two names of songs that start with the letters Y and Z.

And as you take one final slow,

Intentional deep breath in,

Imagine yourself releasing into this pleasantly floating space that you've created of relaxed,

Free-flowing creativity that you can just rest peacefully in and allow the good,

Relaxed vibes to flow through and around your body now.

If anything arises within your mind,

Just view it like a wave and allow it to wash back into that space of pleasantly floating relaxation that you're cultivating,

Noticing,

Letting go,

Relaxing deeper and deeper,

And just continue that rhythm of noticing and releasing into that space of easeful rest and enjoy the restfulness that you're easing into for the rest of your night.

And I hope you have a beautiful night.

You’ve done it again- somehow making meditation both fun and incredibly effective. This was especially helpful for me last night when my mind was sooo active, the game gave my mind a channel to focus on while my body was finally able to shift into relaxing and eventually sleeping. I really appreciate your way Cyrus, thank you.
