Welcome to my talk on uncovering your true self.
I would describe your true self as the part of you which is simultaneously connected to your physical body and also open to the awareness that you exist beyond this physical body.
To me it is analogous with your soul.
From the perspective of energy it is the highest vibration of your expansive energy which can live contained in this physical realm.
Visually you can see it as a cylindrical column of energy which exists along your spine and is either expressed or blocked through the chakras and interacts with the world through your auric field or energetic body.
I love the word remembering.
It reminds us that we can put things back together through memory to remember.
Remembering our true selves takes us back to our childhood.
Children interact with the world from their true selves.
They are present with their bodies,
Emotionally available and aware of their connection to the divine.
The journey of development teaches children how to interact with the world in a way that allows them to feel safe,
Have connection and develop a sense of self.
Throughout this process children also begin to develop an ego which can also be seen as emotional conditioning.
From here the true self transforms to a dynamic self as it becomes layered in familial and societal beliefs as well as unprocessed emotions or trauma.
This leads to more facets of the personality and often uncertainty around the characteristics of the true self.
Nature and nurture play a role here.
From a psychological lens we can see the true self as your nature.
It is present at the beginning and your dynamic self results from your environment which would be nurture.
How your persona or personality ends up depends on the relationship between your nature and your nurture.
As you become older your perception of your dynamic self becomes the vehicle through which you interact with the world.
If you hold the belief about yourself whether it's conscious or unconscious that you are without value,
Then your interactions with the world will reflect that lack your lack of value back to you and this belief will get strengthened.
You will have evidence to say,
See this thing is true.
As you get back in touch with your true self you will begin to discover your natural perception of value and start to integrate this part of you into your belief set.
From here you begin to see your nature reflected back to you in the world and your beliefs begin to change.
Our soul desires to experience itself while being embodied.
As a result we magnetize the experiences which block our soul's ability to experience itself in order to resolve them and expand more of our true selves into our body.
So if you continue to bump up against the same problem over and over again that is a gateway that you are being asked to walk through to transmute a belief or process something unprocessed.
Each time we reach these gateways we have a choice to either act from our ego or our conditioning since strengthen old beliefs or we can bring in a piece of our true selves and begin to witness our transformation.
Connection to our true selves is the first of three important pieces of connection we can experience while embodied.
The first point allows you to have practical connection to your expansive energy and holds a healing charge which assists you in transforming past pain into productivity.
The goal is always to hold both.
This awareness of your true self and the energy it holds as well as the human body that you are in the human experience you have had and are having in this life.
When you hold the awareness of your soul alongside your conditionings you begin to blend them and create a new pathway for you to experience yourself more holistically in the world.
