Take a comfortable seat and close your eyes.

Take a few full breaths to arrive.

When we are looking to receive knowledge from the universe,

Knowledge that we already know intuitively as well as knowledge that is external to us,

We can be in our brains.

The analytical mind is not going to be useful here.

We also have to soften enough that we will be receptive.

In the next few breaths,

In the next few moments,

I want to invite you to work less,

To effortless,

To know that cosmic knowledge will not be accessible through effort,

Through thinking,

Through trying to channel.

It will come through surrender.

There is not much you need to do here.

You don't need to be engaged in any way.

If anything,

What is asked is for you to take a back seat to the process.

Let's be here together for a moment in silence.

If it's difficult for you to get still and quiet here,

It's okay.

The more you try to fix that,

The less softness can happen.

Softness happens more with acceptance of what is,

With getting curious and interested about our busy minds and our restless bodies,

With taking a back seat even to that.

As much as you can,

Soften the inhales and exhales so they are barely perceptible.

Take a nice long breath in,

Open your mouth and exhale.

Do that twice more,

Nice long inhale and exhale out of the mouth.

One more.

We'll transition to Kapalabhati Pranayama.

Reach your arms over your head in a V-shape,

Thumbs up,

And the other fingers curled in towards your palm.

Relax your shoulders,

Take a breath in and out.

Inhale and exhale,

Start with Kapalabhati.

You might go slower or faster than me,

Find a rhythm that you can sustain without forcing it.

Release effort even here,

Let the breath happen to you.

Take a back seat even here.

Take an exhale,

Exhale,

Exhale,

Exhale,

Then a soft breath in and a soft breath out.

Give yourself a moment.

We'll do two more cycles like this,

Inhale,

Then exhale Kapalabhati.

Keep going and again release any effort,

Let that rhythm that you can sustain come to you.

Exhale,

Exhale,

Exhale,

Exhale,

Soft breath in and a soft breath out.

You can release your arms in between cycles.

Let yourself pause.

We'll do one more,

Arms over your head in a V-shape,

Thumbs up,

Other fingers curled towards your palm,

Inhale,

And then exhale Kapalabhati.

Keep going a few more cycles like this,

And then exhale,

Exhale,

Exhale,

Exhale,

Soft inhale and a soft exhale.

Nice,

Sit with your eyes closed,

Arms relaxed.

Notice energy moving throughout your body,

Notice your blood pumping,

The fact that you're alive and breathing,

What a gift.

The cosmic knowledge that is available to us is actually already within us,

It's already here.

Maybe we're downloading some cosmic knowledge,

Maybe we're just connecting to ancestral knowledge that has been passed down,

That is in our genes,

That has been in our DNA for generations.

Maybe we're just connected to the truth that we are absolutely divine beings.

That knowledge doesn't come from outside of us,

It's connecting to the deep truth of who we are.

In the next few moments,

We'll visualize breath moving through the body.

There's no movement,

Just a tracing of the breath with the mind.

Take a breath in through both nostrils,

Then a breath out through both nostrils,

In through both nostrils,

Then imagine the breath exhaling just through the left nostril,

Then inhaling just through the left nostril,

Visualize your breath exhaling just for the right nostril,

Inhaling through the right,

Exhaling through the left,

Inhaling through the left,

Exhaling through the right.

Keep going,

You're always inhaling where you just exhaled.

You might go even slower,

You might take even slower breaths.

Here too,

Notice yourself efforting and let go of that,

You don't need to do that.

You don't need to even manipulate the breath for it to be longer,

Let it happen to you.

Let the breath become longer and more nourishing because there's opening for it to happen.

You can continue to visualize the exhale in and out of your nostril,

The exit of the breath.

Or if you'd like to trace the breath down along the spine,

Up and down the spine,

You can also play with that.

You could go straight down the spine and up,

Or you could go down the side you are working with and then up the opposite side.

Down with the inhale,

Up with the exhale.

Give yourself a few more moments here,

Re-soften your face as you do that.

And without rushing,

The next time you visualize yourself exhaling out of the left nostril,

You can let the breath go and come back to normal breath.

I'll move on to a few reflection prompts,

And I want to invite you to maintain the same effortless state you're in right now.

You don't need to be looking for answers,

You don't need to be thinking about answers.

Let the answers be intuitive.

If there are no answers,

That's okay.

The first prompt is,

How do my old patterns still control me?

How do my old patterns still control me?

There's no judgment,

Shame or criticism here,

They're not very useful.

They're not serving our purpose.

So let that go,

Let yourself feel how old patterns still control you.

Just as factual knowledge,

Data to work with.

The second prompt is,

Where in my life can I get freer?

Where is there room for me to be freer?

And again,

You don't need to think it,

You don't need to go looking for the answers.

Maybe a deep breath in,

And an exhale.

The last prompt is,

What is the next step in my spiritual journey?

Or am I being cold on my spiritual journey?

If you feel cold to place hands on your body at this point,

Go ahead and do that.

It can be anywhere on your body.

I'll give you an affirmation for you to think or repeat out loud.

May I open my mind to receive cosmic knowledge from the universe.

May I open my mind to receive cosmic knowledge from the universe.

May I open my mind to receive cosmic knowledge from the universe.

There's a little heaviness,

A little seriousness here,

Let it go.

May I open my mind to receive cosmic knowledge from the universe.

One last time with a smile,

With joy in our heart at what's happening.

May I open my mind to receive cosmic knowledge from the universe.

Go ahead and take a deep breath in.

Open your mouth and exhale.

While opening your eyes,

Let yourself come back to the room,

To yourself,

To this body.

Rub your palms together.

Place your hands over your eyes.

Open your eyes and your hands,

And slowly lower your hands away from your face.

Welcome back.
