Welcome to The Daily Insight.
My name is Fleur Chambers and it's my pleasure to guide you today.
In order to live a happy,
Fulfilling and purposeful life,
We need to watch our thoughts.
Each day we need to attend to our minds,
Much like we would attend to a garden,
Pulling weeds and planting seeds.
And so in today's short practice we shall pull the weeds of self-criticism and plant the seeds of self-compassion so that we may move through our days feeling more confident,
Kind and resilient.
So beginning now by closing down your eyes and simply noticing your breath,
Just as it is today.
Noticing that with each breath you arrive a little more.
Arriving into your body,
Into your heart,
Into the present moment.
Each breath allowing a softening across your eyes,
Your jaw,
Shoulders dropping,
Chest open,
Hips and pelvis heavy.
And turning your lips slightly upwards into a gentle smile.
Noticing how even this faint smile allows you to connect with yourself in a different way.
Directing each breath deep into your heart.
Breathing in to your heart.
Breathing out of your heart.
Noticing any sense of warmth or relaxation.
And simply asking your heart,
What self-critical thought or belief do I need to let go of today in order to live more wholeheartedly?
Being open to any thoughts,
Feelings or sensations that emerge.
With each exhale a letting go.
And simply asking your heart,
What do I need to invite into my life in order to live more wholeheartedly?
Breathing this wisdom deep into your heart.
Noticing any sense of warmth or openness.
Setting yourself an intention for how you would like to show up in the world.
Sealing this intention with one deep grateful breath.
Offering your body some gentle movement.
And bringing your awareness back into the space you are in.
