Namaste,
Hello,
Welcome and kia ora.
I'm Jen from New Zealand,
The Adaptive Yogi.
I'm going to do the really short little practice today.
So get yourself comfortable in any seated position,
Upright.
And when you're ready to close your eyes,
And relax on your thighs and settling into your inner landscape as you take some nice,
Slow,
Full,
Deep breaths.
Just at your own pace.
Just taking this real short time for a powerful break.
For your senses,
Your mind,
So much is taken in through your eyesight,
76%,
In fact,
Of your senses.
So simply closing your eyes gives you a nice rest.
Tuning in to your breath.
As you become aware of your sense of touch,
Of what you're seated or lying on,
How your clothes feel on your skin,
And fine-tuning that awareness to the air on your skin.
Notice its temperature,
Its movement,
Its weight on your body.
And then taking your awareness up to your ears and hearing the sounds in your environment.
Move from sounds.
And settling back into your breath,
To your body.
As you slowly deepen into a nice big inhalation,
Exhale and expand.
And soften into a nice long exhalation as you relax and release.
Inhaling lightness and expansion through the whole body,
All the way up into the sky above.
Exhaling softness and release,
All the way down to the ground beneath.
Visualizing a beautiful line coming up,
Energy from the ground through your body,
Right up into the sky.
As you inhale,
And coming all the way back down through your body,
Right down into the earth.
Practice another three rounds of this at your own pace.
And when you finish those three rounds,
Releasing any effort,
And simply notice your beautiful miraculous breath.
Just tune in to the inhale and the exhale.
It's perfect,
You're alive,
You're here,
You're breathing.
Just take a few moments to settle into this amazing function in your body,
On this planet.
The beauty of your breath in and out.
I am breathing in,
I am breathing out.
Holding this for another minute.
Not very long.
Just stay with this focus.
I am breathing in,
I am breathing out.
Stay with the miracle that is your breath.
Ah,
Beautiful.
And then coming away from there,
Taking your arms wide and high as you inhale up,
Exhale down to your heart.
Bringing your forehead forward to your fingertips and your minds of gratefulness for this moment today.
Hari Om Tat Sat.
Namaste,
Gently bringing your hand out,
Releasing a little bit of a rub with your hands as you place them over your eyes and open back up into your day as you go forth and spread kindness.
Namaste.
