Hi,
My name is Shania Gordon.
I am a restorative wellness practitioner.
And I'm here to guide you through this meditation.
I welcome you to this guided meditation for cultivating peace and calm in our busy world.
In today's fast-paced society,
It's easy to feel overwhelmed and rushed.
Our days are often filled with countless tasks,
Deadlines,
And responsibilities that can leave us feeling stressed and anxious.
This practice will help you to find inner peace and develop patience,
Allowing you to navigate the challenges of daily life with greater ease.
I welcome you to do whatever you need to do during this practice.
If at any point you feel uncomfortable,
Unsafe,
If feelings are arising that you don't know how to process,
I welcome you to stop.
You can turn this off.
You can listen without practicing.
You can simply focus on your breathing,
Whatever you feel you need to do for yourself.
I advocate you do so.
As we begin,
Allow yourself to set aside any concerns or worries about what you need to do after this meditation.
There's nowhere you need to be in this moment.
There's nothing you need to do right now.
Give yourself permission to be fully present.
I invite you to find a comfortable position,
Either sitting,
Lying down,
Standing,
If that feels right for you.
Once you've settled in,
I invite you to gently close your eyes.
If you feel more comfortable with them open,
You can find a point to focus on.
Take a few deep breaths.
Inhaling slowly through your nose.
Exhaling deeply and fully through your mouth.
Now allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm.
Notice the gentle rise and fall of your chest as you breathe.
I invite you to welcome ease into your body,
Starting from your toes and moving up to the top of your head.
Release any tension you may be holding.
You are free to let it all go here.
I invite you to imagine yourself standing at the base of a tall,
Majestic mountain.
The path to the summit winds its way up the mountainside,
Disappearing at times behind outcroppings and trees.
As you look at this path,
You understand that reaching the top will take time and effort.
There are no shortcuts,
No quick ways to teleport to the summit.
The journey itself is as important as the destination.
I invite you to take a deep breath and imagine yourself taking the first step on this path.
With each step,
You feel a sense of calm determination.
You know that every journey,
No matter how long,
Begins with a single step.
As you continue along the path,
You encounter obstacles,
Large boulders,
Steep inclines,
Or narrow passages.
But instead of feeling frustrated,
You approach each challenge with curiosity and patience.
You take your time finding the best way around or over each obstacle.
Sometimes the path seems to disappear or lead you in an unexpected direction.
In these moments,
Pause and take a deep breath.
Trust that the path will reveal itself again if you remain patient and attentive.
As you climb higher,
You may feel the urge to rush,
To reach the summit quickly.
When this happens,
Pause and look back at how far you've already come.
Appreciate the progress you've made and the strength you've gained along the way.
Remember,
The mountain isn't going anywhere.
It'll be there tomorrow,
Next week,
Next year.
There's no need to rush.
Each step taken with intention and patience brings you closer to your goal.
This journey up the mountain is a metaphor for any goal or change in your life.
By approaching it with patience and calm determination,
You'll not only reach your destination,
But you'll also grow and learn along the way.
Remember,
Patience is a skill that can be cultivated.
With each breath,
You're nurturing the quality within yourself.
Now I invite you to repeat the following affirmation silently to yourself.
I am patient and calm in all situations.
I move through life with grace and ease.
I have all the time I need.
I choose peace over hurrying.
I am present in each moment.
My calm presence positively impacts those around me.
I am patient and calm in all situations.
I move through life with grace and ease.
I have all the time I need.
I choose peace over hurrying.
I am present in each moment.
My calm presence positively impacts those around me.
I invite you to slowly bring awareness back to your surroundings.
Wiggle your fingers and your toes gently awakening your body.
When you are ready,
You can choose to open your eyes.
I thank you for dedicating this time to cultivating patience and calmness.
You've done an excellent job.
And remember,
You can access this inner peace anytime you may need it.
It's been an honor to be your guide.
The light and love in me respects the light and love in you.
Until next time.
