Hi,
My name is Shania Gordon.
I am a restorative wellness practitioner and I'm here to guide you through a meditation today.
I want to welcome you to this guided meditation for gratitude for our everyday blessings.
In this practice,
We will immerse ourselves in a beautiful meditation focused on gratitude for the everyday blessings that grace our lives.
By nurturing gratitude for these small and simple delights,
You can experience a profound sense of peace and contentment.
Find a comfortable position,
Allowing your body to settle and relax.
This can be standing,
This can be lying down,
You can be walking,
Whatever is best for you.
And if at any point you feel uncomfortable,
You are no longer engaged with the meditation,
You feel unsafe,
I welcome you to stop.
You can turn this off,
You can choose to listen and simply focus on your breathing.
You need to do whatever you need to do to bring you,
Your mind,
Your body together in a moment of safety.
You have agency.
Now,
If you are ready to begin,
I invite you to take a moment to tune in with your breath.
Inhale deeply,
Filling the air in your lungs.
And then exhale slowly,
Releasing any tension or stress that may reside within you.
Take a couple more deep,
Soothing breaths.
In through the nose and out through the mouth.
As you settle into this moment,
Bring your attention to the present,
To the here and now.
Allow your awareness to expand and notice the countless blessings that are present in your life,
Even the simplest things.
It could be the warmth of the sun on your skin,
The gentle breeze that brushes against your face,
Or even the sound of birds chirping in the distance.
Use this moment to reflect on these everyday blessings.
Feel a deep sense of appreciation for their presence.
Acknowledge the beauty and the wonder that arises in the seemingly ordinary moments.
These everyday blessings are like small miracles that surround you,
Reminding you of the abundance that exists in each passing day.
With each breath,
Invite the awareness of gratitude to fill your heart.
Visualize this gratitude as a soft,
Warm light expanding within you,
Radiating outwards to embrace the world around you.
Feel the gentle glow of gratitude illuminating your being.
Bringing you a sense of peace and joy.
Now shift your focus to your immediate surroundings.
Notice the objects and elements that contribute to your comfort and well-being.
It could be the cozy chair you're possibly sitting on.
The soft fabric of your clothing.
Or the gentle warmth of a cup of tea in your hands.
Use a moment to express gratitude for these simple,
Yet essential,
Elements that enhance your daily life.
Expand your awareness further.
Expand it to the people in your life who support and uplift you.
Think about your loved ones,
Your friends,
And your community.
Reflect on the kindness and love they bring into your life.
Feel a deep sense of gratitude for their presence and the connections you share.
Allow your gratitude to expand even more,
To encompass the experiences of others.
Embrace the experiences and opportunities that have shaped you.
Reflect on the lessons you've learned,
The moments of growth and self-discovery.
Embrace gratitude for the challenges that have strengthened you,
And the moments of joy that have filled your heart with happiness.
I invite you to bask in this state of gratitude.
Allow the feeling to wash over you,
Filling every cell of your being with warmth and contentment.
Know that by nurturing gratitude for everyday blessings,
You are cultivating a deep sense of appreciation for the present moment and for life itself.
As we near the end of this practice,
If you are ready,
Gently deepen your breath and start to bring awareness back.
Take a few moments to feel the soothing rhythm of your inhales and the exhales.
When you're ready,
Slowly start to open your eyes and carry the serenity and gratitude you have cultivated as you move through the rest of your day.
Remember,
The practice of gratitude for everyday blessings is a simple yet transformative way to find peace and contentment in the present moment.
Thank you for being present with me.
Take some time to thank yourself for showing up for yourself.
Until next time.
