In this visualization, I will share a bit of the science behind why visualization is a powerful tool, how it primes our brains for a successful outcome. More importantly, I will guide you to breathe into the feeling of I am ready, I am worthy of this role, I am enough just as I am, in this moment.Β

Start by finding a comfortable position and taking a few deep breaths.

When you're ready,

You can gently close your eyes and bring your attention to your breath.

Inhale,

Fill the breath,

Filling your lungs,

Filling your diaphragm,

And then exhale.

As you exhale,

Release all of the tension from your body.

As you begin to slow down your breath,

Just keep your mind on the inhale and the exhale and the feeling of the breath coming in and out of your body.

Allow your mind to focus on simply these sensations.

So science tells us that visualizing changes how our brain networks are organized.

It creates more connections and pathways.

Our brain cannot distinguish between an event that is happening through visualization or an event that's happening in actual reality.

So what we're doing during visualization is we're stimulating the brain regions that are involved in rehearsal.

This puts our brains in a primed position for a successful outcome.

As you keep focusing and bringing your attention to your breath,

I want you to allow your mind to visualize yourself right before your interview.

So where are you?

Are you in your car?

Are you waiting in the reception area?

Are you at home logging onto Zoom?

Picture where this interview is taking place and see yourself there.

Now let yourself look around and notice the color of the walls where you're waiting.

Notice any sounds that you can hear in that particular moment.

Notice the desk in front of you or the chair that you're sitting on and what it feels like.

Get present to how you feel in this moment.

Notice the alertness in your own body.

And again,

Bringing your attention to any areas that are holding tension and releasing them through your breath.

Notice yourself sitting and waiting for your interview and consciously choosing to breathe.

And as you breathe,

Visualizing yourself feeling steady,

Alert,

Relaxed.

Notice the interviewer approaching you now in the waiting room or turning on their Zoom and logging in.

See yourself smiling warmly and introducing yourself.

And really breathe into this feeling of,

I am ready.

I am worthy.

I am enough,

Just as I am in this moment.

As the interview begins,

Visualize yourself in that relaxed,

Alert and comfortable manner.

See yourself confidently answering the questions that you have prepared.

See yourself asking intelligent questions about the company and sharing and highlighting some of the research that you have done.

Keep breathing,

Allow yourself to smile as you embody this feeling of comfort and ease and worthiness.

Regardless of the outcome of this interview,

You end the interview knowing that you have shown up as your best,

That you have taken the inspired action,

That you have done the preparation,

That you have shown up and you have done your part.

See yourself leaving the interview now or closing your computer and become present to the smile on your face,

The lightness in your body and the overwhelming feeling of enoughness,

The feeling of I have done my best and now I can move on with my day with ease.

Keep focusing on your breath.

Take one deep inhale and let it go by sighing out of your mouth.

When you are ready,

You can slowly open your eyes and come back to the room.

I am ready.

I am worthy.

I am enough.

This is perfect for me to face the canvas. Painting the final details of this painting parallels the intimidation of a job interview. Thank you.
