Teien

Teien is a Canadian artist, songwriter, singer and producer whose work lives at the intersection of music, nature and inner exploration. Her journey began with the collaborative project Saving Teien, working alongside musician Anton Savytski to develop an authentic sonic language. This became the foundation for her evolving solo practice, blending soulful vocals, atmospheric soundscapes and organic rhythms. Deeply inspired by nature and her connection to soul-driven work, Teien creates music that invites listeners to slow down, reconnect and journey inward. Her sound moves fluidly across Soul, Neo-Soul, Electronic, Lo-Fi and Liquid Drum & Bass, while maintaining a sense of warmth, depth and emotional presence. Alongside her music, Teien creates meditation journeys incorporating harmonic vocals, grounding percussion, ambient textures and soul-guiding messages. Her work creates space for reflection, grounding and deeper connection with the self and the natural world. Teien is a Japanese word meaning “garden” — a reflection of the world she hopes to create through her music: a space to pause, explore, grow and reconnect with the natural rhythms within and around us.
