Good evening lovely listeners,
It's Tansy here and tonight I have for you a guided sleep meditation for achieving work-life balance.
It's designed to help you restore a sense of calm now and in the future.
As you listen you'll be guided through progressive relaxation,
A symbolic rebalancing visualization,
As well as soothing natural imagery.
And when you wake in morning you'll feel lighter,
Clearer and more aligned.
I do hope you enjoy,
So for now make sure you're lying comfortably in bed resting in a position that allows your whole body to feel you.
Let this be your time to come home to yourself to retreat into a space of rest and if you haven't already gently closing down your eyes you are in exactly the right place to gently unwind and reconnect with yourself this meditation is designed to help you create a life that feels more nourishing more sustainable and more in tune with who you really are together we'll explore how you can tend your mind and body with greater regularity and kindness supporting you in becoming the very best version of yourself you don't need to do anything right now except allow your body to rest in peace and serenity your breath to slow we'll begin with a gentle,
Progressive muscle relaxation to your feet and take a slow,
Steady breath in as you breathe out imagine all the muscles in your feet letting go releasing any tension allow your breath to soften them now bring your awareness to your breathing into your legs and exhaling any tightness or tiredness feel heavy and relaxed thinking deeply into the surface beneath you now gently shift your attention to your hips and lower back breathe into that space slowly releasing any gripping or strain in the lower back with each breath a little more spacious now bring your awareness to your belly and allow the breath to soften let go of any holding or tightness in the abdomen gently rising and falling as if you're floating on the waves of your own breath now bring your attention to your hands and arms let them fall naturally by your side breathe into your shoulders and as you exhale feel the shoulders melting away from your ears releasing any burdens or heaviness from the day now soften the muscles in your neck and jaw letting your lower jaw pop slightly relax your forehead smooth out any frowns or tension and allow your whole face to become your body is beginning to relax moving over you there is nowhere you need to be right now in this restful place i invite you to visualise a garden imagine you are sitting in a beautiful garden a safe and sacred space just for you and in the centre of the garden is a large circular flowerbed divided into five triangular segments each represents a different part of your life professional social emotional physical and spiritual take a moment to look at each section with gentle curiosity and perhaps you notice that one of these segments maybe your professional life has been growing strong and dominating the entire bed these plants are vigorous and tall yet their overgrowth has cast shape on other areas perhaps you've been tending to this segment so often that the others have begun to wither appearing smaller and less vibrant there is no judgment here you are simply observing what is you now move to the segment representing your emotional life perhaps the flowers here have not been nourished for some time and you may reflect gently on how you can tend to your emotional needs more regularly it might mean making space to talk to a trusted friend journaling your feelings simply honoring your emotions with kindness and self-compassion you are the expert on your life and deep inside you already know what you need to feel balanced and well and as you turn to the social part of the flowerbed maybe some of the blooms here have faded slightly life can become so busy and work commitments can sometimes crowd out connection social support is essential and being around kind,
Uplifting people can nurture your soul you might feel a gentle invitation to reach out to reconnect to open yourself up to new,
Nourishing relationships and next you observe your physical well-being this part of the flowerbed reflects how well you've been caring for your body through movement hydration and nourishing food take a gentle,
Non-judgmental look at this area what's going well and what might benefit from a little more attention you don't have to change everything at once more consistent acts of care can make all the difference to the final segment your heart your spiritual life this may be about your connection to nature to a sense of meaning or to something greater than yourself you might reflect on the role of mindfulness creativity or simply quiet reflection in your life is there a way to nourish your spiritual well-being that feels authentic and grounding to you the garden is becoming a powerful metaphor for your life the intention to change is like planting seeds the nurturing comes through your daily habits and rituals and over time the flowers bloom stronger more vibrant more in balance there is no rush growth unfolds in its own perfect rhythm and just as you reflect on this balance and what it means for you you begin to notice and restorative feels to simply be in this garden surrounded by nature and in recent years spending time in the natural world has become wider widely recognized as one of the most effective ways to cleanse the body and the mind known by many today as nature bathing or the green prescription doctors have begun recommending outdoor activities such as hiking beachcombing and even cloud spotting as part of treatment plans the goal isn't intense exercise but rather immersion softening into the rhythms and beauty of the natural world and with that in mind i'd like to take you on a journey now to one of the most beautiful places that i know you are arriving on the west coast of ireland in a small fishing village on the edge of the atlantic ocean the air is fresh and cool carrying the scent of salt and wildflowers the sun is beginning to lower in the sky casting a golden glow over the waves you walk slowly along the old stone quay watching the tide weave inland its glassy water creeping around weathered posts seaweed floats and ribbons of kelp swirl gently under the surface small boats bob and sway on the water some grounded on mudflats others resting on land now overgrown with flowers and moss transforming into quiet gardens of their own you stroll into the village passing whitewashed cottages and stone walls the path leads you through open fields with ancient dry stone walls built from jagged rock and glacial stones alpine flowers peep through the trees through the cracks gentians tiny strapdragons and golden dandelions catching the last light goat willows sway overhead releasing clouds of pollen that float like tiny fairies through the air you follow a winding path into upland meadows where mountain sheep graze lambs leap and play their energy light and joyful presently a great lake comes into view at the water's edge and nearby swans glide with their young you rest on a patch of soft moss and feel the peace of this moment the safety the natural harmony of it all later as the sun sets you visit a small stone church at the edge of the village inside the air is cool and still you sit in the quiet watching the colored light from the stained glass dance on the walls the light shifts gently as the last of the sun disappears beneath the horizon you feel soothed you sit and gaze westward as the sky fades into deep pinks and indigoes you feel your whole being blowed out your breath deepens you are coming into balance you are returning to yourself as you drift off to sleep now know that you are cultivating a life that nourishes you presence that you'll sleep and restorative let your dreams guide you gently as you continue to drift take into your heart these gentle affirmations I honor my need for rest and allow myself to fully relax now my body is at ease and I am safe I release the day and welcome peace into every part of my being I trust myself to create balance in my life of a life that supports my well-being as I sleep my body restores and my energy renews I give myself permission to slow down I am letting go of pressure and embracing peace every breath I take helps me return to stillness my sleep is deep,
Healing,
And filled with calm I am building a life that nurtures all parts of me I am allowed to prioritize rest without guilt I choose balance over busyness I listen to my body's needs with compassion the more I care for myself,
The more I thrive it's time to rest my inner world is calm and steady I am aligned with what truly matters to me I trust the rhythm of my life I am in harmony with myself all is well
