Welcome to Mind Flow and Meditation.
Meditation transcends thinking.
The movement of our mind is the gateway to our being.
It allows us to step outside the noise of our busy mind and look at the world once again with open eyes.
And when we do,
A sense of wonder and quiet awareness of who we are is revealed.
So get comfy,
Relax and receive all that is here for you in this moment.
Let's go in.
Today's meditation will guide you through a release of both physical tension and mental heaviness that may have you feeling stuck,
Lost,
Unsure of what to do or even how to start a new challenge or project.
What do you need to let go of?
What do you need to release that is no longer serving you in this season?
Letting go is an essential part of growth and forward progression.
We've endured tremendous challenges this past year,
And now we've arrived at the start of a new year.
We're excited to get going and finally evolve into who we were created to be,
But we're hindered by the ties we have to our past.
So what is holding you back right now?
Before we begin the meditation,
Think about your physical space.
Is there clutter around you or items from your past that are hidden,
That are holding you hostage and preventing you from allowing new treasures into your life?
Do you have rules and patterns from your past,
Like how you were raised,
Things you learned along the way,
Influences,
Or even relationships and friendships?
They very likely served a purpose in the past,
But we continue to hold on to them when in our current state of being,
They no longer serve us.
Most of what we do each day is an unconscious habit.
We do what we always do.
Breaking these habits to build new ones with actions that are healthy for us,
That will make us more productive and less stressed.
It's not just as easy as just letting go,
But we have to start somewhere.
And this is it.
So find a comfortable seated position.
For this one,
We want to be able to completely relax,
But still stay upright so that we can notice what's going on in our bodies.
So standing or lying down aren't optimal for this meditation experience.
So get comfy.
And we'll begin by simply becoming aware of our bodies and any tension you may be holding onto,
Physical tension.
So just be aware of how you're sitting,
Be aware of your posture.
Taking a deep breath and straighten your spine.
Just notice your deep inner strength that holds you upright.
Let your mind travel up your body from your feet toward your head,
Pausing as you go along to let go of any tension where you feel it,
Especially noticing tension in areas of your hips,
Your belly,
Your heart,
Your throat,
Your shoulders,
And your forehead.
And when you've completely let go of any physical tension in your body and even in your muscles,
You've relaxed everything,
Just notice that your inner rod of strength that holds you upright continues to hold you upright,
Even though your body is relaxed and at ease.
This is your inner strength.
This is what you hold onto.
So from this state of ease,
Ask yourself,
What can I let go of right now?
Pause,
Breathe,
And just listen to what comes up without judgment.
And ask yourself again,
What do I need to release in this moment?
Go further by asking,
What else?
What else do I need to let go of?
Listen and feel any clues your body gives you.
Do you have any old areas of pain or injury?
Feeling to those areas,
Are you willing to let go of protecting those areas?
Notice your belly.
You can even place your palms gently on your belly.
Your body gives you life and takes care of you.
Are you willing to let go of eating habits and patterns that are not serving your healthiest you?
And notice your heart.
You can also place your hands at heart center and in the heart.
Are you willing to let go of past hurts done to you or by you?
And acknowledge that it's important.
We hold a lot in our hearts.
It's time to let it go.
Now connect with the area around your throat.
Take a deep breath here.
And are you willing to let go of any restrictions,
Any beliefs that are holding you back from sharing your message,
From speaking your truth?
Hmm.
Everything that you let go of served you in the past.
But we're no longer there.
So collectively gather them in your hands,
Every single thing that you let go of.
Connect them all because they all served you at some point.
And now release them with love.
Notice again the feeling in your body.
Take a deep breath and feel lightness,
Ease,
And relaxation.
Notice that you can keep this feeling of ease and you can release anything you need to as you continue in your daily life,
In your actions,
And pursuing what matters to you the most.
Bring your hands to your heart center once again,
Honoring yourself,
Honoring every experience you've ever had,
Particularly this moment,
This experience,
This present state of being.
Take one last final deep breath in.
And on the exhale,
Release it and just say,
Let go.
And keep releasing.
Breathe here,
Release.
And just know that after meditation,
You can keep old habits in the past by journaling what came up for you.
You can put pen to paper and write the words that came from the spiritual and mental awareness of what you're holding on to.
Journaling can really help make that process happen for you.
You can also enlist the support of others so that they can assist you in letting go and being who you are in your current state.
You can also repeat this meditation several times to remind yourself of the path you're headed in and all that no longer serves you.
Taking one final deep breath and exhale and let it go.
Release it with love.
Thank you for meditating with me today.
