Allow yourself to receive an elongated breath in.
An elongated breath out.
Allow every breath to help you settle a little deeper into a state of relaxation.
And together,
Let's go on a little mental journey.
In your mind's eye,
Begin to see,
Sense,
Feel or imagine,
You're stepping into a serene,
Peaceful garden.
On a beautiful,
Perfect day.
The temperature is just the way you like it.
There's a slight breeze.
But the air feels just perfect on your skin.
Imagine that you're walking slowly along a wide and smooth path.
All of the time in the world.
You're in no rush at all.
This pathway is lined with soft flowers.
In the most beautiful calming shades.
As you look,
You're able to see lavender,
Shades of pink.
Cream.
And a gentle blue.
Most wonderful fragrance drifts towards you from the flowers with every breath you receive.
Tall graceful trees offer generous shade.
You can hear birds singing softly in the distance.
And every now and then,
You see one fly from branch to branch.
A little further ahead,
You spot a wooden bench.
Perfectly placed beneath a large and welcoming tree.
You walk over to it and sit down comfortably.
As you sit,
You feel the solid,
Supportive bench beneath you.
And the gentle support of the tree at your back.
Even though you've only walked a short distance,
It feels so nice just to sit and rest.
Warm golden sunlight filters softly through the leaves.
And it begins to bathe you with the most wonderful healing light.
This light is gentle and calm and deeply restorative.
And you begin to feel its warmth,
Which starts at the top of your head.
And slowly flows downward like warm honey.
Soothing your scalp and your forehead.
Easing around your eyes and your cheeks.
Softening your neck and jaw.
Warming and releasing your shoulders and upper back.
Blowing through your chest and heart space.
It's bringing you so much peace.
It moves through your lower back and belly.
It warms your hips and pelvis.
It flows down through your thighs.
Your knees.
Your calves.
And your feet.
It's as if every cell in your body is receiving this golden healing light.
Any areas of tension or discomfort or fatigue are gently just being dissolved.
Melting away into the earth beneath you.
And in their place,
You are filled with a deeper sense of calm,
Ease,
And quiet vitality.
Now you notice a gentle stream nearby.
Its water is clear and sparkling.
And you watch as it flows so peacefully over smooth stones.
The sound of the stream is so soothing and rhythmic.
And as you watch,
You feel gently drawn to stand and walk a few slow steps to the edge of the stream.
Noticing how soft and safe the ground feels below your feet.
As you arrive here,
You see beside the stream a small stack of delicate white paper boats ready and waiting.
You bend over and pick up one of the little paper boats.
You As you exhale,
You imagine placing into this little boat anything you wish to release.
It might be a worry.
A physical discomfort.
Or something larger like.
.
.
An old regret.
Some kind of resentment.
Is no need for you to analyze or hold on to whatever it is that you're wanting to let go of.
Simply put the boat in the water.
Let whatever you're wanting to release drift off on the paper boat.
And then you pick up another one.
And do you imagine placing into the boat anything you wish to release?
And whenever you feel ready,
You gently place the boat onto the surface of the stream.
Give it a soft little push.
And you watch as the current carries it slowly away.
It's drifting.
Floating downstream.
Becoming smaller and smaller as it blows off into the distance.
Until it disappears around a gentle bend.
Feel the lightness that comes with each release.
And you may do this as many times as you like.
You'll have several minutes.
Each boat can carry away something that you no longer need.
And the stream takes it all with care.
Still surrounded by this garden.
That is so peaceful and so safe.
You is let each and every boat carry whatever you'd like to let go of away.
You have a few minutes to do this.
There's no hurry.
You you Let every little boat.
Continue to carry away.
Anything you wish to release when you feel that you have completed this task.
You will return to the comfortable bench beneath the tree.
Again,
Take your time.
There's no hurry.
If there are still more boats you're wanting to send downstream,
You might continue to remain here and continue to do just that.
If,
However,
You've already chosen to return to your comfortable bench beneath the tree,
You notice the golden light continues to bathe you softly.
And you're feeling lighter.
More clear.
And a deeper sense of peace is washing over you.
As you breathe in the calm of this garden,
With every breath,
A deeper sense of wellbeing and renewal.
We're going to stay here for several minutes,
Resting.
Receiving.
And simply being.
You may also choose this time to continue to send those little paper boats down stream.
When you feel ready,
Begin to bring awareness back into the room.
Wiggling the fingers and toes gently.
Maybe rolling your shoulders softly if that feels good.
Allowing just for a few deep and nourishing breaths.
And whenever you feel ready.
Slowly allowing the eyes to open.
And taking your time.
