So let's find ourselves in a nice comfortable seated position.

You're welcome to sit on a mat or a stool,

Whatever feels right for you,

And you're welcome to have your legs slightly crossed,

Maybe in a nice seated comfortable cross-legged position,

Or you're welcome to sit in a chair,

But just make sure that your back is away from any sort of wall or support.

We want to be able to use our own spines to support ourselves throughout our practice today.

And once you've found yourself in a nice comfortable position that you can remain in for the next few moments,

As we transition inward,

Just allow yourself to settle in.

Coming into the space where you are here and now,

You're welcome to close your eyes or find a nice soft focus.

And then just bring your attention inward,

Letting go of anything that may have happened prior to arriving here,

Letting go of anything that may be happening later today or after this practice,

Just coming into the present moment of where we are here and now.

Then beginning to connect with our body and breath,

Just checking in,

Noticing how we feel,

Starting to breathe in deeply in and out through the nose.

And then as we check in with our bodies,

Let's start to ground and root ourselves into the earth beneath us.

So noticing the weight of the body,

Noticing the connection with the earth beneath you,

Whether that's the chair or the mat or whatever you're sitting on,

Just notice that connection,

Notice that feeling,

Notice that grounding,

Supported energy.

And then with our mind's eye,

We'll travel up through the back of the spine.

So starting with the sit bones and then scanning up through the spine,

Through the lower back,

Vertebrae by vertebrae,

Just allowing yourself to find space as you travel up the spine,

Perhaps lifting,

Shifting,

Readjusting,

Allowing that spine to lift as you're traveling up through the mid back and through the upper shoulders,

Perhaps rolling the shoulders back and down again,

Readjusting so that the head,

Neck and spine are directly in alignment over the hips,

Perhaps adjusting so the crown of the head is uplifted towards the ceiling,

The chin is slightly tucked in and perhaps feeling that length,

Feeling that energy from the grounded rootedness beneath the sit bones and then the lifted awakened energy up through the crown of the head.

And just notice your own strength,

Notice your own support at this moment.

Your beautiful spinal structure is what carries you each and every day.

This is your strength,

This is your power.

So just check in and realign here,

Adjusting as you need.

And then once we found that beautiful contrasting push-pull energy of the lifted awakened spine,

Let's start to connect in with the breath.

So once again,

Breathing in and out deeply through the nose,

With each breath allowing yourself to become a little more relaxed,

A little more grounded,

A little more calm.

And then on our next inhale,

Let's breathe in together.

So breathing in deeply in through the nose and then breathing out through the mouth with a loud sigh,

Just releasing and letting everything go.

Once again,

Let's do another deep inhale through the nose and then releasing out through the mouth with a sigh.

Beautiful.

One more just like that in through the nose and then releasing out through the mouth.

Wonderful.

Now that we've let everything go,

Let's just start to bring our attention inward,

Checking in,

Noticing our connection with body,

Mind,

And spirit.

Breathing in and out through the nose and just perhaps allowing our minds to rest the focus and attention on the sensation of that breath.

So perhaps noticing the breath as it travels in and out through the nose,

Noticing the sensation of what that feels like,

Maybe at the tip of the nostrils,

Perhaps noticing the sensation of the breath as it travels in through the body,

Perhaps noticing the gentle rise and fall of the chest,

Maybe noticing the expansion and contraction of the lungs through the rib cage.

Just allow everything to settle in,

Allowing our attention and focus just to rest on that breath,

Breathing in and out.

And then for our practice today,

I'd like to set our intention.

So tuning inward and listening to your own inner voice,

Allowing our intention for our practice today to be focused on being open to receive.

So listening to your own inner guidance,

What does that mean for you?

Perhaps that's about letting go or surrendering.

Where can you find more openness,

More willingness?

Are there areas where you can let go and release a bit more?

Once we start to become a little more open to receiving whatever it is that we're asking for,

Just notice within yourself if anything starts to shift or change.

And within you,

What could you be willing to be open to receiving?

Is that more love?

Perhaps more compassion?

More empathy for ourselves,

Perhaps?

For others,

Maybe for the world?

Just allow yourself at this moment to tune in.

What do you need?

What will allow you to open and receive more?

What are you willing to let go of in order to receive?

And then for the next few moments of silence,

I'll just allow us to really tune inward to our own thoughts,

Our own feelings,

Our own emotions.

And instead of focusing on those emotions,

Feelings,

Or thoughts,

I'd like you to allow yourself to hear your own inner voice,

Your own inner truth and guidance.

Allow your own voice to speak through you at this moment,

Guiding and leading you exactly where you need to be in order to receive whatever it is that you want.

And noticing what's come through for you.

Perhaps can you allow whatever's being received to be without attachment?

So can you just allow the universe to bring the gifts to you without any expectation,

Without any reward?

Can you allow yourself just to be open to receiving whatever is meant for you?

Just allow yourself to rest on that idea,

On that intention for the next few moments.

I am open and willing to receive whatever the universe wants to bring me.

I am open and willing to receive the gifts that are meant for me.

I am open and willing to receive.

I am open and willing.

I am open and willing.

My intention is in alignment with the highest truth.

My intention is in alignment with my highest self.

I am open and willing to receive the guidance that is meant for me so that I can receive and serve my highest purpose.

I am open and willing to receive.

I am grateful and thankful for the gifts that are being brought to me.

I am thankful and grateful for this moment,

For my ability to receive.

I am thankful and grateful for my openness.

I am thankful and grateful for my vulnerability.

I am thankful and grateful for sharing my truth.

I honor my connection with myself and my voice.

I trust and know my own inner guidance.

I am thankful for everything.

And now just taking a few more deep breaths in and out through the nose.

Very gently and easily we'll start to come back into the sensation of the body,

Into the sensation of our breath,

Gently coming into the space where we are here and now.

Breathing in deeply and mindfully.

Ever so gently we'll just start to come back into the body,

So perhaps wiggling the fingers,

Wiggling the toes,

Just noticing that sensation.

Probably feels a little strange after where we've been,

So just be gentle,

Be very easy,

Be very mindful with yourself going very slowly.

Breathing in to that new movement,

Gently increasing the movement,

So perhaps rotating the wrists or the ankles,

Moving the legs or the arms.

Perhaps stretching the back,

Doing a few cat and cow positions by rounding or lengthening the spine.

Again,

Just listen to your own body,

Allowing it to tell you what it needs at this moment,

Being very gentle and easy.

Perhaps rolling the shoulders back and down,

Maybe doing a little bit of a side stretch.

Just play around and explore.

And then when that feels complete,

Just coming back into stillness,

Allowing ourselves to check in one last time before we close our practice.

Noticing how we might feel now compared to when we began our practice.

And once again,

Reconnecting with the earth beneath us through the sit bones,

Scanning up through the spine,

Vertebrae by vertebrae,

Finding that space,

Finding that lifted,

Awakened energy through the top of the crown of the head up towards the ceiling,

Feeling that length.

Breathing in and feeling that new space or spaciousness that you've created for yourself.

And then bringing our hands into prayer position at our heart center.

Let's start to reawaken the body.

So rubbing the hands together,

Creating some beautiful friction,

Beautiful warmth,

Renewing energy,

Revitalizing energy that you're creating for yourselves.

And then just taking the hands,

Cupping them over the eyes,

Allowing yourself to breathe into that new energy.

And then gently fluttering the eyes open within the hands,

Coming back into the space very gently and easily.

Noticing where you are.

And then dropping the hands,

Bringing them down to your sides or resting them in your lap.

Just taking a moment here to check in.

Notice how you're feeling.

And then to close our practice,

Let's do another few deep breaths together.

So breathing in through the nose.

And sighing it out through the mouth with a loud sigh.

Again,

In through the nose.

And out through the mouth.

And last one,

Just for you this time,

Breathing in through the nose.

And really letting everything go.

Beautiful.

To close our practice,

Let's once again bring our hands to our heart center in prayer,

Bowing our heads forward slightly to our hearts.

In gratitude and appreciation for taking this time for ourselves.

For sharing in this practice together.

I hope you have a beautiful rest of your day or evening wherever you are.

Thank you for joining me with love and light.

Namaste.

Thank you. It really opened my eyes to being able to support myself or not. As I sit here with back pain that led to me having to lean for support vs my usual self support. I needed to lean into a new way. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
