Welcome to mindful meditation just after eating.
Allow yourself to come into stillness,
Allowing yourself to engage with body,
Mind,
And spirit,
Releasing where you are at this moment,
And allowing yourself to focus and bring your attention to the breath.
So let's breathe in together with an inhale,
Breathing in through the nose,
And then releasing out through the mouth with a sigh.
Again,
Just like that,
In through the nose,
And releasing out through the mouth with a sigh.
One more,
Just like that,
In through the nose,
And releasing out through the mouth.
Beautiful.
And from here,
Just allow yourself to let go of anything that may have happened just before and let go of anything that you may have to do after this moment.
Just allow yourself to become present and aware to how you're feeling at this moment.
So perhaps you've just enjoyed a beautiful nourishing meal.
So let's take a moment to appreciate that meal and the nourishment that your body received.
So connecting with the breath,
Noticing the feeling and sense of the body as we're breathing in and out.
Perhaps noticing as the body is processing the food,
Noticing the feeling of being full of feeling satiated.
Allow yourself to recognize what that feels like.
Noticing the processing of the energy,
The conversion that your beautiful system is doing without you even having to think about it.
Your beautiful digestive system is taking that food and transforming it into the energy that you'll need for the rest of the day and really for the rest of your future.
Let's take a moment of gratitude and appreciation,
Acknowledging this magical transformational experience that's happening within your body at this moment.
Breathing in and out,
Allowing the oxygen to revitalize and regenerate and awaken each and every cell as those nutrients are being transformed.
And imagine each one of yourselves being open and ready to receive the nutrients and the vitamins that is coming from that food that you've just consumed.
Imagining the gratefulness and appreciation that each one of those cells,
That each fiber of your being is experiencing as those nutrients are beautifully delivered from the digestive system.
So just taking a moment here to witness and appreciate that feeling.
Feeling gratitude,
Feeling a sense of calm,
Feeling a beautiful contented fullness.
And now as we transition and bring ourselves back into our awakened present state,
Connecting once again with the body and the breath,
Just allowing ourselves to breathe in and out,
Relaxing and becoming more calm.
And then we'll close our practice by bringing our hands to our heart center in a prayer position,
Taking a moment of gratitude and appreciation for ourselves,
Acknowledging that we're taking care of our own bodies,
Replenishing that energy and sustenance that it may need in order to do its job.
And then with gratitude and appreciation,
We'll bring our hands up to our forehead center,
Bowing forward together.
