Hello,

I'm Sydney and welcome to Day 8,

Going Overboard.

It's part of the 10-part series,

Unlock Your Creative Potential.

Hopefully by now you've started your artistic work of art or have at least written your ideas down.

One fun way to bring your very best ideas to life is to push those ideas to the extreme.

This is especially useful for those who are shy about pouring themselves into their work or are used to following rules and need a way to break free of them.

On Day 2,

You gave yourself permission to be creative.

Now is the time to give yourself permission to go overboard.

So today you'll practice pushing creativity to the limit in a safe space in order to put your most captivating work forward.

I invite you now to get comfortable in whatever way works for you so that we can get into the creative meditation space.

We will start as usual with three big belly deep breaths.

Let's get started with a big breath in and out.

Again in and out.

Next we're going to go deeper with a body scan.

Starting at the tops of our heads,

Breathe that energy into your whole head including your face and ears.

Feel the creativity swirling around your neck,

Down into your collarbone,

Your chest.

Feel it going all the way down your back,

Around your sides,

Into your belly.

Pull the energy from your neck,

Down your shoulders,

Down the fronts and backs of your arms to your elbows.

Now carry that energy into your arms,

To your wrists,

Hands and fingers.

Let's move back over to your pelvis and bottom.

Pull the energy down the fronts of your thighs,

Around the sides and to the backs of your thighs.

Just feel the energy move into your knees,

Down your shins.

The same energy is pulsing through the lengths of your calves.

And finally feel the energy in your feet,

Your ankles and your toes.

For the meditation portion of today,

Let's do some affirmations to inspire boldness.

Think about what you're working on or the idea of what you'd like to start as we go through these affirmations.

Ready?

I am bold.

I am safe.

I am daring.

I am sturdy.

My ideas are expansive.

I am gorgeous.

I am generous.

I am surprising.

I am solid.

My idea is bombastic.

My idea is from source.

My idea is revolutionary.

My idea is needed.

I am focused.

My idea is mind-blowing.

My idea is exciting.

My idea is over-the-top.

My work is refreshing.

My work is valued.

My work has value.

My work opens hearts and minds.

Awesome.

You are awesome.

So now I want you to take the next step in your work or an idea that you have or the vision of your completed work and think about it in its most extreme.

Imagine what it would look like,

Sound like,

Or feel like if you let it come to fruition in its most extreme.

Think about that for a moment,

Write it down,

And I'll bring you back gently.

You are beautiful.

When you think about going overboard with your work,

How does it make you feel?

Do you feel excited?

Scared?

Hopeful?

Inspired?

From the exercise of imagining your work in its most extreme,

What can you take from that?

Can you take that vision as a whole and make it work?

Can you take that vision as a whole but dial it back just a little bit?

Can you apply parts of it to what you're working on now?

As you're working,

If you find yourself stuck or you feel that your work could be better,

Revisit the affirmations or any part of today's lesson and see if it helps move you forward in a creative way.

In the meantime,

Let's close out with our affirmations.

Repeat after me out loud or in your head.

Repeat after me out loud or in your head.

I am bold,

Brave,

And kind.

Happy,

Healthy,

And wealthy.

Beautiful and brilliant.

And I am loved.

Let's close out our meditation session with one big breath in and out.

Thank you for joining me today.

I look forward to meeting you tomorrow for lesson nine,

Trusting the Body of God.

For lesson nine,

Trusting the Process.

I'm Sydney,

And as always,

Stay creative.
