Use this powerful meditation to transform/transcend/process/heal an uncomfortable feeling that you have been living with. Choose which feeling you'd like to work with before beginning - it could be a feeling that is being triggered often due to your life situation right now, or it could be a feeling from the past, whatever feels most important to you today. You will be guided through a visualization to meet your higher self, who will support you to access and love the inner child that needs you right now - the inner child that is associated with this challenging feeling. Doing this kind of inner-child work can allow greater feelings of self-love and wholeness, as old feelings are shifted and transformed through understanding and inner connection.

Transcript

Settle in now,

Make yourself comfy,

And take some nice,

Big,

Deep belly breaths.

Breathing into your tummy,

First of all,

Then bringing the breath up,

Higher and higher up into your chest and shoulders,

And releasing it slowly,

All the way down to the bottom.

A few more big,

Deep breaths,

Just to let go of everything you've been up to already today,

And anything you've got planned for later,

You're just breathing it out.

Breathing out tension from any of your muscles,

Letting your forehead relax,

Your scalp,

Shoulders to let go,

Relaxation running down your back,

Through your hips,

Down your legs.

One more big,

Deep breath,

And allowing your breathing to come to a normal,

Natural rhythm.

Imagining yourself taking a walk somewhere beautiful in nature,

Wherever you want to be,

Just make it up,

Or imagine yourself somewhere you like to go,

And it's a beautiful,

Beautiful day,

The weather is perfect,

Just how you like it,

And you're breathing in the fresh,

Clean air here,

It smells so good,

And there's this feeling of spaciousness,

Like you don't have to be anywhere right now,

You don't have any appointments in your diary,

Or anyone needing you,

You can just have this space for you.

Walking through nature,

Listening to your footsteps,

And starting to breathe into your heart center,

At the center of your chest,

And imagine that there is a bouquet of roses at the center of your chest,

Whatever color you'd like them to be,

But these roses haven't opened yet,

The buds are still tight,

And as you breathe into your heart,

The roses start to unfurl,

With every breath,

The petals open a little bit more,

And a little bit more,

And a little bit more,

Until they are fully blooming,

All of these beautiful roses in full bloom,

In your heart center,

Emitting the most beautiful fragrance,

And the soft,

Warm glow coming from your heart,

And walking along in your place in nature,

Feeling this activation in your heart,

This beautiful energy,

Considering just the little things in your life at the moment that you feel really just grateful for,

Just humble things,

Everyday things that you'd often overlook,

Just count your blessings for a moment,

Breathing into your heart,

And as you're walking and feeling this open heart,

And you can hear your footsteps,

Start to notice there's another set of footsteps that has joined you,

And it's this higher self of yours,

Who's come to support you on this journey today,

Your higher self is now walking with you,

Your higher self is the part of you who is so wise,

So loving,

Who's been through absolutely everything you've been through,

And understands all of it,

Your higher self is anchored in love,

Knows who she is,

And is safe in the universe,

Just walking along and feeling your connection with each other,

And then the two of you find this beautiful clearing,

It's almost like a healing place,

Somewhere,

Wherever you are in nature,

Like a lovely opening with beautiful grass,

Or a nice place on the beach,

Or a lovely spot at the top of a hill,

Or anything like that,

But it just feels sacred,

It feels that it has this special energy,

And your higher self goes ahead and lights a little campfire here,

In the centre of this place that you've found,

And the campfire is warm,

It's crackling,

And you can smell the burning wood,

It has this aura around it that feels really,

Really safe,

Really nurturing,

And you and your higher self are sitting around the campfire now,

And I'd like you to start to think about this feeling that you want to work with today,

That you want to help to heal and transform,

Just allow yourself to recall this feeling,

And knowing that it's absolutely safe for you to do this,

But if you take all the labels away from this feeling,

And don't judge it as a good or bad thing,

It's just simply an energy,

An energy that wants to move within you,

An energy that wants to shift,

So open your arms to it and let it be there,

Just let yourself feel this feeling,

Noticing where in your body it seems to be coming from,

Where's the place that it seems to be anchored in your body,

Breathing into that place.

There is an inner child part of you who is living in this feeling,

This feeling is your inner child's home,

It's where they dwell,

They live in this energy all the time.

In this particular inner child that lives in this feeling,

We are now inviting to join us around the campfire,

To come into this safe space with you and your higher self.

So just be open to which inner child is coming in,

What age,

What they're showing up like,

Just letting it unfold.

Taking notice of how your inner child shows up,

And whatever you can visualize of her or him,

The posture that they have,

The expression on the face,

And you can approach your inner child and just let them know,

I'm here for you beloved,

I'm here to listen,

I'm not here to try to change you and I'm not going to tell you what to do,

But I am here to hear you,

And be with you,

And if there's anything that you want to tell me right now,

I'm listening,

And then just be there for them,

If there's anything they want to get off their chest,

If they want to cry or scream or tell you all about it,

Just listen and be there.

And then asking your inner child,

What do you need?

What do you need in order to feel happy again?

Once you've got a gauge of what they're needing,

Now this is your chance and your higher self can help to provide this,

Because you're the one who can do this,

Only you can provide what your inner child needs.

And you can do this creatively by imagining your inner child receiving what they need,

In whatever creative way you want to do that,

Or you can provide the reassurance verbally to your inner child and your mind that they need to hear,

And your higher self as I said can help with this.

So be creative and bring your inner child now what they need,

And you can ask your inner child is there anything else you need,

And just keep creatively providing this for them.

Okay,

Wherever you've got to with that,

It's just perfect for now.

I want you to just remember how you felt when you were walking through your nature place just earlier,

And you were breathing into your heart and that bouquet of roses was fully blooming and your heart was open.

Visualize again those roses in your chest,

Blooming,

Fragrant,

A beautiful warm glow.

Feel the loving connection with your higher self.

Breathing into your heart so it's nice and activated.

Feeling the caring that you have for your inner child,

How much you love them.

And then imagine you are pouring love from your heart center onto your inner child.

Pouring and pouring the most pure,

Beautiful rays of love onto your inner child and your higher self is doing the same.

Pouring love from their heart onto your inner child and your inner child is absorbing it into where it needs to go for them.

Keep pouring and pouring this love and watch your inner child receiving it,

Soaking it up like a sponge.

You can stop pouring for a moment and just looking at your inner child now.

Noticing the shift in their energy and how they feel about the situation now.

And then imagine them becoming smaller and smaller.

Smaller and smaller and smaller,

So small that they could stand on the palm of your hand.

And then place your inner child into your heart center,

Into that beautiful love,

The safety,

The warmth,

The connection with you.

This can be their new home.

Noticing how you feel now,

Noticing your energy.

Noticing that area in your body where the feeling was coming from earlier and how that's feeling now.

And seeing a movie screen coming up in front of you and a movie is starting to play of how you will be now in your life with this feeling healed.

With your inner child feeling better,

What will that look like now in your life?

Just watch a movie playing of this now.

Giving thanks to your higher self for this connection and knowing they are always there,

Always right beside you and all you need to do is shift your focus to find them and feel them again.

Feeling your body,

Remembering what day it is,

The room you're in.

Wiggling your toes and fingers.

Taking some big deep breaths.

Slowly coming back and opening your eyes as you're ready.
