Welcome to today's talk.
DEI of energy.
Have you ever felt like an outsider.
Excluded.
From everyone else.
I remember having grown up in a small town in the Midwest.
And I was the only person of color.
At my elementary school.
So I got bullied.
I was excluded because of the shape of my eyes,
The color of my skin.
And I remember how painful that felt.
To feel like an outsider,
To feel like you don't belong.
Exclusion hurts.
The pain of separation.
Is what causes us suffering.
Perhaps you've heard this term,
DEI.
Diversity,
Equity,
And inclusion.
Which is often used at professional organizations.
Where they make an active effort to have a diversity of people and perspectives where they feel included and everybody is valued equally.
Why is it important to have diverse and different perspectives?
With diversity and inclusion.
The more perspectives you have.
The greater the perspective that you have overall to solve problems,
To come up with new ideas,
To serve customers,
To innovate and create.
It also creates a better cultural environment for an organization.
Where people feel included and safe.
This sense of safety brings about community and a sense of belonging.
And it's in these environments that people can really thrive.
When diverse perspectives are valued and supported,
It allows for the energy of creativity and imagination,
Fun to flow through.
There is just.
.
.
More ease in companies that have diversity and it's not just about that,
It improves the bottom line.
It has been shown through scientific research that companies that have an equitable number of men and women on boards,
Different cultures represented within the organization,
That it actually improves the performance and productivity of an organization and group.
It also improves social impact and overall engagement.
So what if we applied this idea of DEI?
Of allowing everyone and anyone to feel included,
Valued and supported.
To the concept of energy.
I know when I first started learning about meditation energy,
I became more sensitive to different vibrations and really kind of always wanted to be in what I felt was a positive energy.
That was really important to me.
But what if we allowed all energies to coexist and valued them equally?
How would that change the way we navigate and orient ourselves in our own lives?
The good,
The bad,
The ugly.
Whatever you feel is a low vibration,
A bad vibration,
What if you were able to include it?
As part of your experience,
Value it as overall diversity of what we have in this universe.
Just in nature,
We have biodiversity and we see how important that is for the overall environment to thrive and grow.
What about even the different energies that exist within us?
And around us.
If we didn't push up against them or label them or exclude certain energies,
How would that change?
The way.
We saw other energies the way we related to them.
What would happen if we took an inclusive approach.
Toward all energy.
So there's no rejection of bad energy running away,
Hiding,
Labeling bad or wrong.
Certain energies.
This doesn't mean that we have to.
Accept violence or harm.
By actually taking an approach.
That allows these energies to exist,
We create the opportunity for energies to grow and evolve.
Because once we start to perceive something and push back against it,
That active separation creates even more separation.
So what would happen if we refrained?
From the need and the desire to separate.
Ourselves.
From others.
What would that experience be like?
And really cultivating our ability to.
Have the capacity.
To accept and value all energy.
That all energy that exists in this universe,
In this world,
Is valuable.
Every person,
Every life.
Is meaningful.
And valuable.
And deserves.
To exist.
Energy has a greater chance to evolve when we choose to relate to it rather than separate from it or exclude it.
It's also about learning how.
When we're in the midst of energies that don't feel resonant to our own,
That we can sustain our own energy,
Our own vibration.
In consciousnesses or energies that may be in a lower vibration like fear or judgment.
So learning how to sustain our energy really comes from our own.
Personal practice.
That the more you learn to anchor,
And ground your energy that the easier it becomes to flow.
With your energy and other energies.
TEI.
Diversity,
Equity,
And inclusion happens naturally.
As a result of your meditation practice.
The more we practice,
We accept diversity.
We're willing to include people.
Rather than exclude them.
So you may notice this the more you continue to practice and energy.
Thank you so much for listening to today's talk.
Blessings.
