Today's topic is meditation with five elements.

These five elements are from Ayurveda,

Ayurveda which is healing science of India.

In Ayurveda it is believed that everything is based into the five elements and so our whole universe has these five elements including us.

So today we're going to explore these elements.

These five elements are the first element is space,

Second element is air,

Then comes fire,

Then water and then earth.

So we're going to explore these elements in reverse order.

So make yourself as comfortable as possible and just tune into what's happening in your body,

In your mind,

With your breath at this moment,

Towards your mind,

Towards your breath.

And we're just observing,

Not judging,

Just tuning in,

Very gently tune into any sounds happening around you,

Just notice,

Observe,

Find out as many sounds as possible.

And gently and consciously letting go of this awareness of listening and bring all your attention towards your whole body.

Making sure you're sitting comfortably,

Making sure your spine is elongated,

Your legs are comfortable,

Elbows gently hanging under your shoulders,

Hands resting comfortably on your lap,

Either palm of hands facing upwards or resting on your lap.

Consciously relax your face,

Your jaw,

Relax your eyes,

Keep them soft and comfortable.

Once you're comfortable here,

Bring all your awareness where your body is touching to the support underneath you.

Allow yourself to rest towards this support a little bit more.

Imagine you are sitting on a beautiful grass and allow yourself to sink towards this grass.

Imagine the earth supporting you,

Holding you,

Comfortable,

Relaxed posture.

Allow yourself to rest into this support.

Gently become aware of your whole body and notice your physical structure is held up with your bones,

Your cartilages.

Gently tuning into this earth element in our system and allow your form to be held by this earth element.

Find comfort in your posture,

Sending gratitude towards this earth element underneath you and in your body.

We're going to gently tune into any flow of energy happening in our body or anything which your mind connects as flow.

Flow is a smooth,

Steady movement like water flowing.

Notice if you can sense these sensations in your body at this moment.

You may notice,

You may not,

That's okay,

We're just noticing what's happening in the body without any judgment.

We're going to imagine that we are connecting with the flow of energy,

The flow of fluids,

Of the blood flow,

The plasma flow in our system.

Just noticing that element and sending gratitude towards your heart to doing all this hard work.

Sending gratitude towards the water element in your system.

We're going to gently bring our awareness towards our abdominals area behind our navel and imagine gentle warmth rising here.

Imagine morning sun is illuminating this area.

Sending gratitude towards this energy in our system,

The digestive fire in our system so that it gives you energy to function in this world.

Gently tune into your breath.

Notice your inhale and your exhale moving in and out of your body.

Maybe notice the air touching your skin.

Once again connecting with your breath.

Just follow your breath for next few moments.

Sending this gratitude towards our breath.

Thanking the air element in our system,

The prana,

The life force in our system.

Tune into area in front of your closed eyes.

This area is considered chit akash or space,

Eternal space.

Visualize golden sun here.

Visualize soft burning candle light,

The light of your consciousness here.

Gently bring this candle light towards yourself and let your whole being illuminate with this healing light.

Sending gratitude towards the space element in you and around you.

Notice that earth thing in the space.

Visualize the space in your system,

The chit akash,

The area in front of your closed eyes,

Illuminating with healing light.

Very gently let these images dissolve and become aware of your breath moving in your body.

We have been practicing the five element meditation.

Sending gratitude towards yourself for taking this opportunity to do this meditation.

Gently become aware of your surroundings.

Bringing movements back in your body by wiggling your toes,

Your fingers.

Gradually increasing this movement.

Sticking nice stretch if you want to.

So doing whatever you want to bring yourself back in this room.

When you are ready,

Gently opening your eyes.

There is no hurry.

Thank you for doing this meditation with me.

I hope you enjoyed this meditation practice with five elements.
