Welcome to constructed thinking meditation.
Normally meditation practice aims to ignore the thinking or somehow break it.
To gain mindfulness and doing it in your best that is required.
In this meditation we will start it in Samui with the breath exercise and focusing on your breath.
We will ignore our thinking for a while.
However,
Thinking is natural activity of our brain.
Our brain comprises two different parts,
System 1 and system 2,
According to the science.
The system 1 is our daily and ever working brain.
It works every day,
Every time.
It helps us as an assistant and never stops.
It saves us from the dangers.
We are using it to speak,
To do our daily activities.
We have system 2.
System 2 is a different part of our brain.
It works sometimes,
For example,
When we think deeply or doing intellectually challenged.
System 2 is generally in idle mode.
When we require it,
It works,
It responds to our system 1 and stops.
Problem is,
We are using this two part of our brain,
Not mindfully.
Even our thinking system not works for us.
We are starting to overthink,
Over and over,
About unnecessary things or unhelpful things.
And brain starts to lose its energy.
However,
If we manage or work with it mindfully,
We can find more helpful ways to solve our problems or to accept them.
If it cannot be changed.
With our practice,
We will do that.
Constructive thinking session is predefined thinking time to find and solve our problems.
It is not kind of solving math problem or complex problem.
It is purely thinking and developing a thinking habit in our daily life.
Let's start with the breath exercise.
Close your eyes and find a comfortable position.
If you want,
You can lie down.
If you want,
You can start in a comfortable way.
Start to count your in-breath and out-breath.
Try to feel your inhale from your nostrils or from your diaphragm.
Start to see the effect of breath in your body.
If you forget the number of your breath,
Start again.
Don't worry.
During your breath exercise,
You may don't think anything else or you may start to think about your daily life or your problems or whatever else.
Now we will start to think.
We will release out our mind to think whatever we want.
At now,
At this point,
Our aim is not allowing our mind to wander.
When our mind starts to wander,
Our brain will start to fly from branch to branch,
Place to place and never reach the stable position to see what happens.
For that way,
At first we will start release our brain to wander and select what matters.
Then we will start about it.
Now continue to the breath but release your mind,
Think or worry whatever you want.
You might remember your tasks,
You might remember the uncompleted tasks,
You might remember the calls from one of your friends or you might remember a thing which makes you unpleasant or other special problems you cannot solve.
That's normal.
Start to lock whatever comes to your mind like a computer system.
Start to visualize your mind like a television.
Start to watch what comes to the stream.
Generally a lot of think,
A lot of thought or program in your mind is unnecessary and just continuously loop in your mind.
Now select one thing that matters for you.
It may be a problem,
It may be a uncompleted task.
Whatever emotionally affects you,
Select it.
Focus on it.
What worries you or what makes you happy or why you feel what you feel when you think that.
Why you remember that thing and why you select it.
Your mind starts to find the solutions if you think about any problem.
Don't do that for now.
Just think and focus your problem.
Feel it naturally.
Accept it.
Because whatever comes to your mind is daily and pre-mandant thing.
It's not a catastrophe.
Generally it's a daily thing like others.
It's a common problem a lot of people encounter.
When you think without judge you start to feel relaxed about your problem because it was in the coke,
It was in the treadmill in your mind.
It cannot be solved because it never stops.
Now you take it from the treadmill and you start to look at it.
So stop to think about it.
The constructed thinking time requires predefined time to think about anything.
You may want to continue about your thinking session but never do that.
Just finish your session and if you want do it again.
How to find a good solution.
But if you start to wander in your mind,
If you start to lose yourself in the overlooking thinking,
Never do that and start to focus on your breath.
So open your eyes,
Take a deep breath and continue to your daily life.
