Hello and welcome to our meditation.

In this meditation we will look inside but before diving or meditation allow me to tell a couple of things regarding one of our implicit sneaky and hidden tendency towards the instant gratification.

The instant gratification is kind of impulse coming from our deep brain,

Reptile brain.

When we do something we need to get instant and enjoying results.

This reward system encouraged us to do things in daily life from the history up to today.

The problem is since we can access everything through online websites,

Applications,

Games and the part of modern life,

We tend to want more and more and cannot wait so long.

We are sticked with the idea of the reward and by the time it becomes harmful to the present moment.

Interesting thing is even in the meditation,

This situation is happening.

When we sit to cushion for the meditation,

For guided meditation or with timer,

We are expecting to be more calm,

Less stressed and we are avoiding to accept,

Radically accept,

What we are experiencing right now.

It is the risk of instant gratification even in the meditation.

In this meditation we will try to overcome this but it's not an expectation.

It will be an experiment with you.

In this experiment we will try accept things as it is and we will not expect anything at the end of the meditation.

We will just focus what you are hearing right now,

What you are feeling right now and accept it.

It will be short.

The first thing,

Let's start to listen around us and focus what you are hearing in a room,

In an outside place,

Somewhere,

Wherever you are in.

Just focus to try to hear sounds.

If you don't hear anything,

Just listen and wait.

I will be quiet during this time,

Then we will go to the next step.

But don't expect anything,

Just try to listen around yourself.

You may hear many different sounds.

I bet you try to identify the source of the sounds,

Label it sometimes or you are just listening.

Only listening without expectation is key of awareness.

Even when we are talking with our friends,

When we listen to them without judgment,

Without interruption,

Without impulse of giving a response or worry to be quiet,

We will go deeper and understand not only our friends but also our internal life.

And we can monitor our impulses to respond quickly because our brains are in need of the dopamine.

It's one of the instant gratification.

In the second phase of this meditation,

We will finalize our meditation with three deep breaths.

Inhale and exhale.

Inhale and exhale.

Inhale and exhale.

That's it.

Now gradually open your eyes.

Don't accept anything.

Don't try to find joy,

Just accept whatever comes in your mind and your heart.

Thank you very much for listening.
