Effortlessly paying attention to your body is a great way to develop self-awareness.
Anything that allows your mind to go on a short vacation means that your awareness can thrive.
There is a greater intelligence that takes over when the mind gets out of the way.
The mind is an intricate,
Complex system of thought that can keep our self-awareness suppressed.
But with a little meditation,
Our awareness starts to break free from the shackles of suppression and into a new being of light.
Now that your self-awareness is heightened,
It's time to learn how to discharge unwanted thoughts to further your growth.
Find yourself a comfortable position for this practice.
Maintain a nice,
Straight back.
Place your hands on your knees or your palms facing up if you wish to lay down for the practice.
Gently close your eyes and your mouth.
Let's start by taking in a deep breath to your belly.
And gently release.
Breathing in through the nose and out through the nose.
Expand your abdominal region with each in-going breath.
Relax your abdominal region with each outgoing breath.
Notice your breath.
Follow your breath from beginning to end.
Observe the way the air comes in and out of your nostrils.
Be aware of the airflow down and up your airways.
Pay attention to the rise and fall of your abdominal region with each breath.
Focus your attention behind your forehead.
Be aware of the blackness in this area.
This blackness can be labelled as your mental screen.
Allow your dominating thoughts to appear in your screen.
Witness your thoughts from a state of awareness.
Shift your attention to a state of pure observation.
Realise you have the power to follow thoughts or observe thoughts.
Simply stay in a state of awareness and just see your thoughts on your mental screen.
Be aware of the emotions that might correlate with your thoughts.
Simply observe the emotions from a neutral state of awareness.
Breathe in deeply through your belly.
Exhale and let go of all your worries and stresses.
The more you observe your thoughts,
The more they will lose their charge over you.
Exhale,
Let go and feel a wave of relaxing energy take over your body.
Where your attention goes,
Your energy flows.
Keeping your attention in unwanted thought processes will only charge them full of energy,
Resulting in repetitive thought patterns.
By observing and focusing on your breath,
Your thoughts will slowly start to lose their charge and subside.
Stay in a state of awareness and exhale the energy out of your dominating thoughts.
Exhaling and releasing.
Feel your body becoming more and more relaxed.
Simply let go and realise that you are the awareness.
Realise that you have the power,
Not your thoughts.
Your thoughts are not self-employed.
You are the employer.
Thoughts will audition for your attention,
But keep your attention in a state of observation.
Just be aware.
Do not attach,
Judge or interpret any of the thoughts.
Realise you are not your thoughts.
Ultimately,
It's your attention that gives thoughts value.
By attaching your attention to your thoughts,
You keep them alive.
Keep your attention in a state of awareness.
And just surrender.
Realise you are not your thoughts.
Observe your thoughts and flush the dominating energy out of your system by using your ex hail.
On each exhale,
Feel your body becoming more and more relaxed.
Extend your exhale.
Feel the energy being liberated from your thoughts.
Allow your thoughts to surface at will,
Remembering to simply observe,
Breathe and let go of the energy associated with those thoughts.
Be patient and repeat this process until your thoughts subside.
Realise you are not your thoughts.
Now bring your attention back to your breath.
Take in a few deep breaths and conclude your practice.
When you are ready,
Gently open your eyes.
