Welcome to another stress-fit meditation.
This is the beginning of the Awaken Your Inner Buddha series.
Buddha means the awakened one.
We all have the potential to reach Buddhahood.
To connect to our inner Buddha,
We must train our attention and transcend the mental plane of thoughts.
This series has been designed for you to connect to a deeper aspect of your being,
Which will allow you to awaken your inner Buddha.
Before starting this practice,
Please stare at a picture of a Buddha you resonate with for a few minutes.
Keep a clear mental image of what this Buddha looks like.
Now,
Sit in a comfortable meditative posture.
Maintain a nice straight back,
Spinal column erect,
Hands on the knees,
And gently close your eyes and mouth now.
Let's start by taking a deep breath in through the nose and out through the nose.
In through the nose and out through the nose.
Start to take in full,
Deep breaths.
Pay attention to the flow of your breath.
Allow each breath to bring you into a deeper state of relaxation.
Now switch your attention to your mind's eye located in between your eyebrow center.
Visualize the image of the Buddha and hold this image in your mind.
Now,
Please repeat after me.
Your Holy Grace,
I acknowledge the power within you is the same power within me.
My intention is to connect to my true being and awaken my inner Buddha.
Your Holy Grace,
I acknowledge the power within you is the same power within me.
My intention is to connect to my true being and awaken my inner Buddha.
Now focus on your breath for the next few moments.
Allow each breath to bring you presence.
Allow each breath to heighten your awareness.
Amen.
Visualize yourself on an uphill track that cuts through a mountain.
This mountain is very high and you can see clouds in the sky.
The mountain is made up of big rocks and green plants and trees.
You are walking barefoot up this path.
You can feel the texture of all the little rocks on the dirt path.
You are starting to sense a very powerful mystical feel to this place.
In the distance,
You see two monks meditating by a big tree.
You walk towards these monks.
The monks open their eyes as you come closer.
You kindly ask the monks,
Where am I?
The monks humbly tell you,
You are on the path of Buddhahood.
This path up the mountain will take you deeper into your essence.
On your journey,
You will have to face your fears and train your attention.
Everything you experience has been designed for you to connect with your true nature.
When you reach the top of the mountain,
You will meet your inner Buddha and have the vision of an eagle over life's equations.
The monks chant a mantra to bless you on your journey.
Feeling blessed and honored,
You continue up the mountain.
See the vision of the blue sky while you walk.
Focus on your breath for the next few moments.
See the vision of the blue sky.
Your path is getting more narrow and reaching a bend that curves around the mountain.
Obstructing your path is a herd of mountain goats.
You approach these goats.
To clear these goats,
You must train your attention.
Bring your attention into the mind's eye,
Located in between your eyebrow center.
We are now going to count backwards from 10 to 1 with each breath cycle.
Visualize the number 10 in your mind's eye.
Only change the number at the end of your breath.
Make sure you clearly see this number,
And if you get distracted or lose count,
Please start again.
Once you have finished,
Focus on the flow of your breath as it naturally is in that moment.
You can begin now.
Okay,
The mountain goats have cleared,
And you follow the path higher into the mountain.
In the distance,
You see a group of monks chanting.
Nightfall is approaching,
So you decide to rest with the monks.
You approach the monks.
Sitting in your meditative posture,
You listen to their chants for the rest of your practice.
In the distance,
You see a group of monks chanting.
