Thank you for taking this moment for yourself.

This is your time,

A pocket of stillness in the middle of busy thoughts and an overloaded mind.

Start by finding comfort.

Let your body settle.

Let your breath settle.

Let yourself arrive.

Take a slow inhale and a long complete exhale.

As you breathe imagine the world softening around you.

The noise quiets.

The to-do lists fade.

Everything becomes more spacious.

Place a hand gently on your belly.

Feel it rise.

Feel it fall.

Let the rhythm slow you down from the inside out.

Now imagine your mind as a busy room filled with the lists,

Plans,

Responsibilities,

Things you need to remember.

You don't have to organize anything,

Just notice the room.

With each picture yourself unplugging from one source of mental pressure.

A small cord unhooks,

Then another and another.

Feel the lightness that follows.

Now picture a basket beside you,

Soft,

Woven,

Welcoming.

This is your mental load basket,

A place where you can gently place everything you've been holding.

Start with one thing,

A worry,

A task,

A responsibility.

Place it in the basket.

Let it go just for now.

Feel a small shift,

A loosening inside.

Now add another piece of your mental load and another.

Slowly,

Gently,

With kindness.

With every inhale imagine calm entering the body.

With every exhale imagine releasing something unnecessary.

Inhale,

I breathe in ease.

Exhale,

I set it down.

The basket holds everything safely for you.

You don't have to carry it.

You don't have to think about it.

You don't have to anticipate anything right now.

Begin to visualize yourself stepping out of that busy room.

You close the door softly behind you.

You step into a space that's open,

Peaceful,

Quiet.

This is your place of rest,

Your inner sanctuary.

Imagine a soft light filling this sanctuary,

Perhaps warm gold or soft blue or gentle white.

Let it fill your chest,

Your shoulders,

Your mind.

Feel the unwinding happening as if the light were dissolving knots of tension.

Slow,

Deep breath and let something inside you drop down another level into stillness,

Into quiet,

Into relief.

If thoughts come in,

Simply let them drift past like leaves floating down a stream.

You do not need to catch them.

For the next few breaths experience what it feels like to hold nothing,

To do nothing,

To simply be.

Now imagine stepping back to the basket.

See how much lighter you feel now.

You don't have to pick anything back up yet,

Just acknowledge it.

Thank yourself and leave the basket gently where it is.

One final deep inhale and a sigh out.

Return to your body,

Feel the ground beneath you,

Feel the ease you created and remind yourself,

I am allowed to put things down.

When you're ready,

Gently open your eyes.
