Welcome to this meditation designed to lead you to stress-free sleep.

This is your time to let everything soften.

To set the day aside and to ease your body into a night of peaceful,

Effortless sleep.

Find a comfortable position.

Let your pillow cradle your head.

Your mattress support every part of you and gently close your eyes.

Take a slow comfortable breath in and let it fall out naturally.

There is nothing you need to achieve.

Just allow yourself to arrive.

Imagine the events of your day gathered like pages in a book.

Without effort the book closes,

The cover settles and you place it gently on a shelf.

The day is complete.

You don't have to hold any of it now.

Feel your forehead smooth,

Your jaw soften,

Your shoulders slide down away from your ears.

With each exhale say silently,

I release.

I soften.

I let go.

Bring your attention to the gentle rise and fall of your breath.

There is no need to change anything.

Simply notice.

Now imagine a warm,

Calming glow resting at the centre of your chest.

With every exhale the glow expands,

Spreading comfort throughout your body.

It moves through your ribs,

Your belly,

Your spine,

Bringing ease to every muscle it touches.

Feel your arms growing heavier.

Feel your legs loosening completely.

Your whole body sinking deeper into stillness.

If any tension remains,

Place a soft inner hand on it and whisper inwardly,

It's okay to relax now.

Picture yourself resting on a small,

Peaceful boat floating on calm water.

The night is clear.

A gentle breeze glides across your skin.

The boat rocks with the softest,

Most soothing rhythm.

Slow,

Steady,

Comforting.

You are safe here.

You are supported.

The water holds you effortlessly,

Just as your bed holds you now.

Above you,

The moon glows softly,

Like a guardian watching over your sleep.

With each breath,

The boat drifts,

Slowly,

Quietly,

Carrying you toward deep rest.

Your breath is gentle.
