Hi and thank you for taking this time for yourself today.

Together we're going to explore how to meet uncertainty with steadiness,

Clarity and trust.

I'm Samantha and the reason I'm sharing this with you today is because I've lived through many seasons of uncertainty myself and along the way I've discovered practical tools and perspectives that have truly helped me find calm and confidence when life felt unpredictable.

I'd like to begin with an affirmation that has guided me through some of the most difficult and uncertain times in my life.

I trust in my own abilities to manage whatever comes my way.

Take a moment,

Maybe even say it silently to yourself.

I trust in my own abilities to manage whatever comes my way.

Notice how it feels in your body.

Notice how it lands in your mind.

Life is full of uncertainty.

Sometimes it's a big life transition,

Sometimes it's unexpected challenges and sometimes it's just the day-to-day unknowns that pile up until they feel heavy.

In times of uncertainty our brains tend to get caught in the loop of what if and what then.

This can create instant stress and anxiety,

Restless nights,

Overthinking and those circular thought patterns that just spin and spin.

I know you've probably felt this too because it's simply part of being human.

If there's anything life has taught me it's this,

We can only control what is within our own control and we have to let the rest go.

It sounds simple but it's not always easy.

In the moment of uncertainty our minds want to grab hold of everything.

We want guarantees,

Answers and clear outcomes.

But the truth is no matter how much we plan or analyze there will always be variables beyond us.

That's why the first technique I've learned is to ask myself what can I control in this situation?

I identify it,

I name it and then I make a conscious choice to let go of everything else.

Let me give you an example.

Imagine you're waiting to hear back about a job application.

What's within your control?

Preparing for the interview,

Updating your resume,

Sending a thoughtful follow-up.

What's not in your control?

The other candidates,

The hiring manager's preferences,

The company's budget.

So I pause,

I acknowledge the difference and I visualize setting aside the pieces that aren't mine to carry.

Almost like putting them in a box and closing the lid.

And when my mind drifts back,

As it always does,

I gently remind myself that's not mine to control.

I let it go.

This practice lightens the mental load.

It reduces the stress that comes from trying to manage the unmanageable and it creates space for calm.

The second thing I've learned is that there's always a solution.

Now at the beginning of a problem it rarely feels that way.

The human mind loves to catastrophize.

We imagine the worst case scenario,

We get caught in endless what-ifs and we focus on the darkest outcomes.

That's natural.

It's our brain's way of trying to protect us.

But in my experience,

Life often surprises us.

The worst case doesn't usually happen and if it does,

We often discover an inner strength,

A resource or an opportunity we never imagined.

Think back on your own life for a moment.

How many times have you faced something that felt impossible?

Only to look back later and see how it worked out,

Maybe in ways better than you ever could have planned.

There's often a silver lining.

Sometimes the outcome isn't what we expected but it brings growth,

Clarity or new possibilities.

Trusting that there is always a solution doesn't mean ignoring reality.

It means remembering that we are resourceful,

Adaptable and capable of finding a way forward.

It's a mindset that shifts us out of panic and into possibility.

Here's where I'd like us to come back to the affirmation I trust in my own abilities to manage whatever comes my way.

Let's explore this together.

Say it silently to yourself or out loud if you'd like.

I trust in my own abilities to manage whatever comes my way.

Notice how it feels.

Do you feel resistance?

Or do you feel relief?

Both are normal.

Now imagine a current uncertainty in your life.

Something that's been circling in your mind.

Bring it to the surface.

As you hold this situation in your awareness,

Repeat the affirmation again.

I trust in my own abilities to manage whatever comes my way.

You don't have to know every answer.

You don't have to predict the outcome.

You only have to trust that when the time comes,

You'll be able to meet it.

That trust is an anchor in uncertain waters.

I also want to share something I've discovered through my own life experience.

The idea of divine timing.

Everything doesn't have to happen on our schedule.

Life has its own rhythm,

Its own unfolding.

Sometimes the doors we want to open don't.

And other doors,

Ones we never expected,

Swing wide open.

Looking back,

I've often seen how the delays,

The detours,

And even the disappointments were guiding me towards something better aligned.

Something I couldn't see at the time.

When we combine trust in ourselves with trust in the timing of life,

We find a deep peace.

We don't have to force everything into place.

We can show up,

Do our best with what we can control,

And let the rest unfold in its own time.

This doesn't mean we sit back passively.

It means we stop fighting against the flow.

We start to believe that there's meaning in the unfolding,

Even when we don't yet understand it.

So here's what I invite you to practice after this talk.

Ask yourself daily,

What's in my control?

What's not?

What's not?

Act on the first,

Release the second.

Remind yourself there is always a solution,

Even if I can't see it yet.

Affirm daily,

I trust in my own abilities to manage whatever comes my way.

Simple practices,

Repeated over time,

Create powerful shifts in mindset.

Uncertainty will always be part of life.

But when we trust ourselves,

When we let go of what we cannot control,

When we believe that a solution will always emerge,

We step into a steadier,

Calmer way of being.

Remember,

You are capable,

You are resourceful,

And you can meet whatever comes.

So carry this affirmation with you.

I trust in my own abilities to manage whatever comes my way.

Thank you so much for being here with me today.

I hope you leave feeling lighter,

More grounded,

And more confident in yourself.

Until next time,

Take care and trust in the unfolding of your path.
