Hi,

I'm Steph Gadsden and I'm going to walk you through a meditation to invite healing into your life.

Creating and maintaining a health mindset is important for healing.

Often when we are chronically unwell we get trapped in a cycle of hopelessness.

We feel our bodies and our minds have let us down and we feel powerless to change it.

This meditation,

If completed daily,

Will help you to bring back hope and encourage healing.

Sit or lie in a comfortable position.

Let your body be still and calm.

Bring your attention to your breath.

Notice the breath gently coming in and out of the nose.

Rest your mind here.

Notice how peaceful it can be just to simply watch your breath enter and leave your body.

Your body knows what to do.

You don't need to force it or change it in any way.

Thoughts may come and go and that is okay.

Just acknowledge them and gently return your focus to your breath.

We are now going to invite healing in through affirmations.

We are going to breathe in what we want and then breathe out anything we want to let go of that is holding back our healing and wellbeing.

Breathe a little deeper now.

On your inhalation feel the breath fill up your lungs,

Your abdomen and then on the exhalation deflate and let it all go.

On your inhalation breathe in deeply through your nose,

Fill up your chest,

Your tummy,

Hold it and then just exhale and let it all go.

We are now going to attach words to your breath.

These words may also provoke colours and that is okay too.

So on the inhalation I want you to imagine hope.

Breathe in hope to your body.

Feel the hope fill up your entire body from head to toes and with this hope you feel a sense of relief,

A sense that everything is going to be okay.

Hold that hope within your body.

Now on the exhalation breathe out despair.

Let go of the despair or feelings of hopelessness that are holding you back.

Breathe them out and make room for hope.

Now on the inhalation breathe in vitality.

Allow your body to feel this energy filling you up,

Touching every single inch of you,

Your breath with so much energy and vitality.

Hold on to it,

Embrace it and let it permeate through your body.

Now on the exhalation let go of fatigue,

Let go of tiredness,

Let go of these barriers to your energy.

Let them go and make room for vitality.

Now on the inhalation breathe deeply and breathe in courage.

Breathe in the strength to move forward every day.

Feel that courage fill you up,

Spreading throughout your entire body.

Hold on to it,

Embrace it and let it in.

Now on the exhalation breathe out fear.

Let go of any fears you have about your illness,

About your ability to live a normal life.

Let them pass,

Let them go and hold on and make room for courage.

Now return your breath to normal.

Let these positive affirmations settle in your body.

Thank yourself for inviting hope and healing into your day.

When you are ready you can gently open your eyes and make the most of your day.

Thank you for joining me for this meditation.

I appreciate the content, however I felt like the expected time to hold the breath in while describing breathing in Hope was definitely not for beginners. Maybe others can hold their breath that long, I really can't.

I live with chronic illness, and you hit all the main themes I struggle with: Hopelessness, fatigue, despair, but your matching affirmations work so well. Really brought me up and reminded me not to fall down that rabbit hole. Week be saving this one. Namaste 🙏

Beautiful reminders to let go of the things that don't serve us, that hinder our healing.

Thank you, Steph. In bed with a sore throat, but also have an underlying chronic condition. I feel brighter after the affirmations and will make this my morning meditation for a few weeks. Namaste 🙏

Lots of space at the end before the track completed. Now that I know I will use it for more meditation.
