Find a comfortable position and allow your mind and body to settle.
If your mind wanders,
Let it wander wherever it wants to go.
Give yourself the permission to do nothing,
Just being here,
Being who you are.
Making a gesture of welcoming,
Allowing,
Just allowing this moment to be.
Just allowing yourself to be.
Become aware of what you are thinking.
Just watch your thoughts as they flow across the screen of your mind.
The content of your thoughts is not important right now.
Just become aware that you are having thoughts.
Notice that beyond your thoughts is a space containing nothing.
Allow your awareness to go to the space beyond your thoughts.
As you are aware of the space beneath,
Beyond your thoughts,
Thoughts will continue to arise.
The next thought you are going to have,
Where will it come from?
Look.
The next thought you are going to have,
What shape will it have?
Look.
If other experiences come to the foreground,
Like sounds or sensations in your body,
Feelings of comfort or discomfort,
Look beneath,
Become aware,
Become aware of the gentle knowingness behind your experience.
The gentle receptivity which is always present,
Timeless,
Transpersonal.
The next thought you are going to have,
Where will it come from?
Look.
And rest right there.
Become aware of the vastness of your own being,
The vastness of your heart,
Where you are most deeply yourself,
Even before you were born and after you will die.
Thoughts come and go,
Sounds come and go,
Feelings come and go.
Look into the groundlessness which is always there.
Look into the knowingness which is perceiving this voice.
Become aware of the silence or stillness.
Become aware of the always present stillness beneath,
Beyond feelings,
Sensations and sounds and thoughts.
Attentively look into the stillness,
Finding greater stillness.
If your awareness shifts to thoughts,
Return again to stillness and greater stillness.
Become aware of your whole body.
Become aware of the stillness in your whole body,
The stillness beyond or beneath the sensations,
The stillness beyond or beneath the mental image of the body.
Become aware of your feet and stillness.
Become aware of your hands and stillness.
Become aware of your belly and stillness.
Become aware of your chest and stillness.
Gently bring your awareness to the heart.
Gently breathing into the heart.
Becoming aware of stillness.
Become aware of the stillness in your whole body from the top to the toes.
The stillness in every cell of your body,
Softening and opening,
Relaxing.
If thoughts come to the foreground,
Notice where they come from and dissolve back into.
Return to the stillness beneath,
Beyond your experience,
The natural peace,
Which is always present.
Which is always present beyond the content of your experience.
Rest in natural peace,
This exhausted mind.
Just rest.
Allowing this moment to be what it is.
You are the loving space to which this moment happens.
Extend your awareness to your surroundings.
Become aware of the stillness behind the appearances in your mind.
Peace.
A gentle space.
Timeless.
A space where we can meet.
Boundaryless.
Centreless.
In the nature of love.
Bathing in that stillness with your whole body.
From the toes to the top of your head.
Nothing to do.
Nowhere to go.
Nothing to understand.
Just resting.
Being complete.
Your whole body breathing within gentle stillness.
Then gently open your eyes and look around.
Becoming aware of the stillness behind.
The stillness beneath.
The stillness within.
The walls.
And the things you see around you.
What you see is also an appearance within the natural peace of your mind.
And now when you start to move your body and you are going to do what you need to do remember this stillness,
This peace is wherever you go,
Whatever you do,
Whomever you meet.
Throughout the day,
For short moments become aware of awareness itself.
Of that which is always there.
Just resting for ten seconds.
Peace is available to you in any moment.
