Hi dear friend,
I'm Stephanie,
And I invite you to join me on the following journey into self-acceptance.
Recently I saw a picture of individuals that a photographer had taken.
Simple headshots of each person and just their faces.
The first picture was simply a photo of them looking straight at the camera.
Then the photographer told them,
You are beautiful.
And immediately snapped the second photo.
The difference was so clear and the faces of these individuals was filled with light,
Positive energy and an obvious glow that wasn't captured in the first picture.
We all thrive on positive reinforcement.
But more than that,
We don't always realize the power of our words.
Words we say to others and words we say to ourselves.
Consider for a moment how powerful words are that you hear on a daily basis or things you tell yourself.
If any of this self-talk is negative,
We can train the brain over time to switch that narrative to one of positive reinforcement.
I have created a list of affirmations and you may repeat these as often as you feel comfortable.
Maybe you want to start your day with them or let them be what you hear before you go to sleep at night.
Or perhaps you resonate with something that is said in particular and that is what you focus on for the week.
You know yourself better than anyone and you know what you need in this moment.
But now you have the choice to build yourself up.
Remember,
Self-acceptance starts from the inside.
Consider repeating the following statements to yourself audibly or silently in your mind or just listen.
You know what is best for you at this time.
I will repeat the following statements three times and each time you might actually hear it differently.
Just as each day something different will catch your attention.
Take a moment to find a quiet space.
Breathe naturally and comfortably.
Don't force or push the air out.
Just connect with your body by lying down and allowing the body to begin to soften.
Relax the mouth,
Your jaw and your facial features.
Now relax the tongue because as you do the rest of the body will follow.
Take a moment to let go from the top of your head to your toes.
I am where I need to be right now.
I am where I need to be right now.
I am where I need to be right now.
I love and accept myself.
I love and accept myself.

I can release what no longer serves me in a positive way.
