Let's begin.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable way to be in the body,
Where the body feels wholly and completely supported by whatever it's resting on.
And let's begin to let the body settle where it is,
Softening muscles,
Loosening joints,
Letting the bones grow heavy.
Let's become aware of the breath,
Sensing and feeling the breath as it moves through the nostrils,
Through the throat,
Feeling the breath in the high chest and into the full chest,
Breathing into the belly,
Letting the belly rise and fall with every exchange of air.
Take a moment here to check in on your energy.
There's the energy we have outward in the world.
And then there's the quality of the energy that we hold inside our bodies,
Our inner energy,
Life force energy.
I'd invite you to notice your aliveness in this moment.
How does my inner energy feel?
Let's bring our awareness to the events of our day today.
And I'd invite you to see if you can notice a place where your energy is still flowing.
Is there something that happened today that is drawing on your inner energy?
Perhaps there is an event or an exchange that is still present,
That is being maintained in your mind or emotional body.
When we think about our inner energy,
Our aliveness,
I'd invite you to ask yourself if whatever it is that's drawing energy from you in this moment,
If it's worth it.
As we reclaim our energy from all of the places we may have left it,
We reclaim our inner energy,
We fortify ourselves,
We come back to wholeness.
When we choose to flow and release,
We choose to reclaim ourselves,
To restore ourselves to strength.
I'd invite you to bring to mind,
If possible,
A time in your life where you were in awe.
A time where you felt so filled with energy,
So very alive.
And we'll see if we can allow our bodies to recreate that experience,
That feeling of aliveness.
In these moments,
There are no thoughts,
No distractions,
Nothing drawing our energy away.
All of it invested in the moment.
Perhaps as we imagine this moment,
We get a sense of freedom,
Liberation from suffering,
From samskara.
Can we imagine what it would be like to meet the world with this energy,
Fully open,
Never turning inward?
Can we imagine ourselves walking through the world in gratitude and wonder,
Marveling at being alive?
Let's take a moment here to notice in the body.
I'd invite you to imagine something that makes your heart close just a little bit.
Perhaps something that you feel protective of.
A moment where you might want to turn away or turn inward.
As we imagine ourselves feeling protective,
Can you notice a shift in your vitality,
In your inner energy?
Closing down,
Turning inward,
Separating ourselves from the flow.
Perhaps you notice a dullness in the inner energy,
A dimming of light.
Let's bring ourselves back to that moment of awe,
Or perhaps a different moment,
When you felt fully alive and let this sensation move through your body again,
Noticing the places that wake up in response.
This aliveness,
This vitality,
This is the energy where the consciousness thrives.
Allowing ourselves to be present,
To flow energy.
Giving space for the consciousness to be heard.
When we allow thoughts and feelings to flow through us,
We allow ourselves to be in total flow,
To be an instrument of consciousness,
To be a vessel of love.
Can we intend together in this moment to be aware of the moments where we close ourselves off?
Can we give ourselves permission to be imperfect in this practice?
Can we meet ourselves with curiosity and compassion?
Let's direct the next few breaths through the heart space.
Each breath opening,
Creating more space.
My heart is open.
I am aware of my inner energy.
Slowly beginning to bring your awareness back into the room.
Blessings.
Namaste.
