Welcome.
Today's practice is focused on contentment.
What does it mean to be content and how can we cultivate the energy of contentedness?
Let's begin by finding a comfortable way to be in the body.
A way to be in the body where the body feels held.
Can we allow ourselves to be held?
Perhaps in this moment,
It's difficult to find perfection.
But can we find contentment here,
Wherever we are,
However our bodies are?
Contentment comes from acceptance of whatever is present in this moment.
Is what we find here in this moment enough?
Can we be grateful for what's here?
Can we be grateful for the ground below us that holds us so securely?
Can we be grateful for the breath that flows in and out of the body with ease?
Can we be grateful for whatever thoughts might be present in this moment?
In full acceptance of the here and now.
I am content.
I find peace in the present moment.
I'd invite you to ask yourself,
When in life am I most content?
When is it easy to be in the moment?
To find peace in the moment?
To find acceptance and gratitude for the moment?
And when is it more difficult to find contentment in life?
Do I find myself wishing that things were different?
Comparing myself to others?
Do I find myself looking to the future?
Wanting things to move more quickly?
So that I can find contentment sooner in a far off place?
What would I need to accept in this moment to find?
Can I be grateful for whatever is here?
Blessings.
Namaste.
