Welcome to this stay with yourself meditation for overcoming overwhelm.
Start by slowing down,
Just really feeling your body become very still.
And let it become heavy and relaxed,
Really soft and open.
And you can close your eyes and feel yourself letting go.
Just letting go in your joints,
In your neck,
Letting go in your hips,
In your pelvic floor.
Just really relax from the base of your body all the way up into your heart,
Just your whole core.
Relax your tummy.
Relax your heart space.
Relax your throat.
Feel your forehead relax.
Feel your feet relax.
Feel your hands relax.
Bring all your energy back in from wherever you left it.
With any number of to-do lists,
The things you should be doing,
Could be doing,
Would be doing.
Just let them go.
Bring your energy back in.
If you left your energy lingering on social media or in a conversation you had with someone,
Bring the energy back in.
Wherever you left it,
Gather yourself back up and feel yourself solid here in this moment.
Fully relaxed breathing and being.
And just begin to breathe slow and deep.
Imagine just a really wide clear channel opening up between your nostrils and the back of your throat,
Opening up all the way through your neck,
Your heart space,
And opening up into your belly.
And just very slowly move your breath in and out of this clear channel deep into your belly.
Really,
Really relaxing your tummy.
Imagining it's like an empty balloon being filled with air.
And then as you exhale,
Just releasing tension again anywhere you feel it in your body.
Really,
Really relaxed.
And with your energy gathered up from all these other places and things and thoughts,
Ideas,
And feelings,
Just imagine all those things kind of falling away,
Drifting away,
Disappearing.
So it's just you here now in your body with your breath,
All your energy gathered up,
Just feeling yourself here and now in this space at this time.
Just existing here in this moment.
Nowhere to go,
Nothing to do.
Here you are just being,
Being,
Allowing yourself to be.
There is no greater gift you could give yourself because this is what you were made to do already.
Just be,
Just allow and be.
It's okay.
It's truly okay.
Just breathe and be,
Relax into your body.
And you can just whisper this to yourself,
I am okay.
I am okay.
I'm doing good.
I am good.
I am okay.
I am doing good.
I am good.
And just really feel this like a gentle whisper,
A light blanket being placed over every part of you,
Every cell in your body.
Just feel yourself tucked in by these words and say them to yourself out loud if you need to.
I am okay.
I'm doing good.
I am good.
And just allow yourself to rest in this mantra,
In this truth.
Anything you're carrying on to that you brought with you into this space,
Just imagine it falling off,
Almost like scales that are falling off your body.
Feel yourself becoming lighter.
As all your worries,
Just let them drop,
Let them fall.
And let yourself be here now.
I am okay.
I'm doing good.
I am good.
Yes,
And just keep relaxing your body.
