Welcome to the Stay With Yourself Affirmations for Self-Love Guided Meditation.
Start by sitting in a chair with your feet firmly planted on the floor and your hands gently resting in your lap.
You can also do this meditation while lying on your back with pillows under your knees and head for optimal comfort.
Let's begin by taking several deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.
As you inhale,
Slow and deep,
Try to carry that breath deep into your body,
Into your belly,
Feeling your tummy expand like an empty balloon being filled with air.
And as you exhale,
Feel your tummy softening and releasing tension.
Long deep inhale,
Expanding,
Slow soft exhale,
Releasing tension.
Begin to relax your body as you breathe,
Filling your body with air on the inhale and as you exhale,
Dropping your shoulders down and back,
Feeling your heart space soften and open,
Allowing your body to become heavy,
To be held by the seat beneath you.
Just keep breathing into this deep inhale,
Slow exhale.
As you inhale,
Just feel yourself enjoying that fresh breath,
Revitalizing breath,
Life-giving breath on the inhale.
And as you exhale,
Letting go of anything that's causing you stress or worry or anxiety,
Inhaling fresh,
Revitalizing breath,
Exhaling,
Letting go of anything that's not serving you or bringing you peace.
Really feel yourself here in this moment,
Fully present in your body and in your being.
Feel the edges of your body,
Your skin,
Where your clothing touches your skin.
Feel yourself whole,
Contained and complete here in this moment as you're breathing in and out.
If you've left your energy scattered somewhere else on social media or in a conversation you had yesterday,
Bring that energy right back into your body,
Gathering yourself back up,
Really feeling yourself here and now.
Continuing to breathe deep and slow,
Finding a rhythm for your breath that feels really good to you.
Now I want you to imagine that as you inhale,
You are breathing in a hug,
A really loving hug.
And as you exhale,
That hug squeeze is just a little bit tighter.
Breathe in a hug,
Exhale a nice big squeeze.
Just breathe into this hug.
Feel yourself being hugged with each breath.
Inhale,
Hug,
Exhale a nice squeeze.
And as you're breathing in a hug,
I want you to also breathe in the words,
I love you.
And as you exhale,
The words are,
I love you.
Inhale I love you with a hug,
Exhale I love you with a tight squeeze.
I love you.
I love you.
Breathing in I love you,
I love you.
Inhale hug,
I love you,
Exhale I love you.
Really imagine this I love you as you breathe it in,
Really being directed towards every cell in your body.
Just focusing on the I love you on the inhale.
You have 50 trillion cells in your body.
That's more cells in your body than have been located in our galaxy and the galaxies beyond.
50 trillion cells.
Send them all and I love you.
All of your internal organs,
Your bones,
Your bone marrow,
Your blood,
Your red blood cells,
Your white blood cells,
Every nerve,
Every muscle,
Every tendon,
Every ligament,
Every pore in your skin.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
Breathing in I love you.
Really filling each cell with a hug and an I love you.
Feel the inside of your body getting warmer and relaxing and sighing into this hug and this love.
As you exhale,
Feel that warmth.
Feel the strength of that hug and the love within you,
Within every cell of your being in your body.
Every brain cell,
Every particle,
Every follicle,
Every hair on your head.
I love you.
Love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
And on the exhale,
Feel your entire body saying these words back to you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
Again,
Every hair on your head singing in a chorus of I love you.
Feel your hips.
I love you.
Feel your arms.
I love you.
Feel your body singing these words back to you.
Your entire body saying I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
Say these words back.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
Really be here in your body and keep breathing.
If you begin to feel a little anxious or uncomfortable,
Breathe into it and whisper I love you to any aches,
Any pains.
If there's any judgements that you have towards yourself,
Any ways in which you are hard on yourself,
Come into that space and whisper,
It's okay,
I love you.
I love you,
It's okay.
It's okay,
I love you.
Again,
If there's pain or anxiety,
Breathe into it and whisper,
I love you,
I'm here.
What do you need?
I'm here,
I love you,
What do you need?
And listen to the whispers of your pain,
Your stress,
Your anxiety,
Your judgements,
Your worries.
What are they scared of?
And breathe into these spaces,
These places within yourself,
Offering that hug,
That comfort,
Looking into the eyes of your pain or your discomfort or your anxiety.
And saying,
I love you,
I'm here,
What do you need?
All is well,
I am well.
You are enough,
I am enough.
And really speak to yourself in this language of love and hugs,
Presence,
Compassion.
When you hear answers to this question of what do you need,
It's probably going to be very simple.
I just need a hug,
I just need a warm bath,
I just need to cry,
I just need to know I'm not alone.
And you can give these things to yourself.
Remind yourself,
You're not alone,
I'm not alone.
I love you.
I love myself.
Really feel your whole body open up and receive this love that you're breathing in and breathing out.
I love you,
I love you,
I love you.
I'm going to leave you here with several minutes of soft music so you can continue this practice on your own.
If it's comfortable for you,
Feel free to take your arms and wrap them around your body and give yourself a hug and a squeeze as you breathe in,
I love you,
And you breathe out,
I love you,
And squeeze yourself a bit tighter as you exhale.
And breathe into anything and send I love yous to anything that really needs to hear it today.
Take your time.
Until next time,
May you stay with yourself today and always.
