Welcome to this guided meditation of being still.
Not often in life do we give ourselves the opportunity to just be.
So over the next few moments we're going to do just that.
So finding a quiet place to be comfortable,
Sitting up tall and settling into the meditation with a few deep inhalations in through the nose and out through the mouth.
And with the next exhalation we're just going to gently close the eyes and now just steadying the breath,
Breathing in through the nose,
Out through the nose.
Noticing the rise and fall of the chest.
Noticing the warmth of the breath on the top lip.
Giving yourself permission to just be still.
Embracing this moment of stillness.
There's nothing at all that needs to be done.
Just staying here in this moment,
Aware of the breath.
And as we continue to be aware of the breath,
With an easy and relaxed mind,
You start to notice what the mind and the body is feeling.
Noticing any discomfort.
Not judging.
Just curiously aware.
Simply being present.
Noticing if the mind would rather run off towards the future.
Would rather think about the to-dos for today or planning.
Noticing if the mind would rather be busy reviewing the past or simply thinking.
And each time we just notice,
We acknowledge the pull of the movement,
The distraction.
And with the loving patience of a compassionate,
We give our mind permission to rest.
We help the mind to settle,
To be still,
To be at peace.
And we gently guide it back towards the awareness of the breath.
Without thinking of the breath,
Just present with the breath.
Without thinking of the body,
Just present with the body.
Allow the mind to feel spacious,
Open and at ease.
Allowing the mind to drop into the joy,
The bliss of no longer needing to do,
The bliss of simply being.
No longer fighting against the movement of the mind or the rising of the thoughts.
And distraction will arise but there's nothing to do here.
Notice,
Acknowledge with love and just come back to the breath.
Feeling into the preciousness of this moment.
The stillness.
Recognizing the beauty of the moment.
Freedom.
The stillness.
The permission to stay right here.
Simply watching.
Simply noticing.
Being present with the body.
Being present with the breath.
Giving yourself permission to be still.
And if the mind has started to wander,
Just gently bring it back to the breath.
Now together in this beautiful collective energy,
We take a deep nourishing deep breath.
Feeling the lung.
And a beautiful exhale.
Giving gratitude and thanks for this beautiful time you've honored yourself today.
When you're ready,
Gently opening the eyes.
Namaste.
