Hello everyone,

Today I'm going to be speaking about EFT tapping.

Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT as it is more often known is a method used to lessen the symptoms of a bad experience or emotion or even to enhance a good one.

It emphasizes tapping on the body's 12 meridian points.

Although the body's meridians cannot be seen with the naked eye,

They are crucial to our everyday health and mental well-being.

They are a complex system of energy highways that flow throughout the human body and the purpose of these highways is to deliver energy or chi to each of our organs.

The meridians are responsible for all of the body's major organ systems including our nervous system,

Circulatory system,

Respiratory system,

Immune system,

Skeletal system,

Muscular system and digestive system.

A common occurrence is faced when small blockages or imbalances of energy occur in the body.

If left untreated,

These blockages have the potential to cause various unpleasant symptoms which will show up in the body.

Through the flow of this energy or chi,

The meridians support and stabilize the body's energy,

Aid in removing blockages and even regulate the metabolism,

All of which contribute to our beautiful bodies functioning properly.

Sometimes a little help is needed to aid in this process and to do this,

Certain points along the meridians can be stimulated with fine needles,

A practice many may be familiar with called acupuncture.

This process encourages fresh energy or chi to flow through the energy channels and clear any blockages that might be unbalancing your system.

EFT and tapping use the same principles as acupuncture by stimulating the meridian points to free up the body's natural energy flow.

The tapping points used in EFT are as follows and as I mention them,

I would really like you to find them and tap on them with two fingers.

As you tap them,

You might feel the sensitivity of these important meridian points.

This is how you know you're tapping on the correct point.

The top of the head,

Just above the eyebrow,

The side of the eye,

Under the eye,

Under the nose,

The chin,

The collarbone,

Under the arm and the last point we will focus on today is often called the karate chop.

This is located on the side of the palm.

If you view the picture on the screen,

This will help you to locate all of these important points and different people enjoy different ways of tapping.

I definitely encourage you to find what works for your body.

Try different methods as I release guided tracks to see what works for you.

Personally,

I prefer using the top of my index finger and middle finger together to tap the various points.

Tapping helps to access your body's energy and sends signals to the parts of the brain that control stress.

It is an alternative treatment for physical pain and turbulent emotions.

By tapping on your body's meridians,

A balance can be reached and allow for freedom from negative emotions and those terrible limiting beliefs that we all have can be attained.

The steps of EFT follow a very basic pattern that is super easy to learn.

One starts by identifying the issue they are facing,

Whether it be an emotional distress such as anxiety or fear or physical pain.

The initial intensity of the issue is rated on a scale from 1 to 10,

With 10 being super intense and 1 being barely visible.

Prior to tapping,

One needs to establish a phrase that explains what they are aiming to address.

The setup used for this phrase is often in the form of,

Even though I feel as if I deeply and completely love and accept myself.

For example,

If I'm battling with the fear of socializing,

I would start by tapping on the karate chop point whilst repeating,

Even though I feel scared to see so many people,

I deeply and completely love and accept myself.

One would then proceed to tap through the various tapping points while voicing the negative feelings they are experiencing.

With regards to the previous example,

This would sound like,

All of this anxiety in my body when I'm in crowded spaces,

Feelings of stress around people.

Once you have voiced all of your feelings and tapped through all of the meridian points,

You can finish off with a lovely deep breath.

Continue tapping if you feel like the issue could be improved.

Or one could even do another round of tapping but with a positive statement such as,

I am worthy of connection and social situations that make me feel seen.

This reinforces a more positive approach.

EFT tapping is a lovely tool that has truly made such a difference in my life and I hope that it can have the same effect on yours.

I would like to end off with a beautiful quote.

One morning she woke up different,

Done with trying to figure out who was with her,

Against her,

Or walking down the middle because they didn't have the guts to pick a side.

She was done with anything that didn't bring her peace.

She realized that opinions were a dime a dozen,

Validation was for parking,

And loyalty wasn't a word but a lifestyle.

It was this day that her life changed and not because of a man or a job,

But because she realized that life is way too short to leave the key to your happiness.
