As we start,

Be aware of the harmonious brainwave entrainment music in the background.

These melodies are more than just sounds,

They're precisely tuned frequencies crafted to sync with your brainwaves,

Helping to facilitate a profound journey into deep rest.

It's like a gentle guide,

Leading your consciousness through the vast terrains of relaxation.

So find your nest of comfort,

Be it on the floor or a cozy couch,

Using blankets,

Pillows,

And cushions to ensure comfort,

And maybe even a blackout eye mask for a deeper experience.

And then let's set forth on this journey.

Place your awareness on your breath,

And inhale a gentle sweep of fresh energy entering your body.

Hold it at the top,

Cherishing the life-giving pause,

And then exhale,

This rhythm of breath is your anchor,

Now visualize a warm,

Gently wrapping around your neck and your throat.

Feel any stiffness,

Replaced by a flowing ease.

Imagine this glow,

Now like molten gold,

Flowing to your shoulders.

These strong pillars,

Often burdened with the world's weight,

Now feel like they're floating.

The warmth travels down your arms,

Eventually reaching and relaxing each finger.

The energy gravitates toward your heart,

Which beats in rhythm with the universe.

As the music pulses,

From the top vertebrae,

With each breath,

As the warmth descends to your hips,

Visualize roots growing,

Now onto your legs.

Your magnificent pillars of your journey are now bathed in the glow.

From thighs to calves,

The warmth rejuvenates,

Reminding them of their purpose and their strength.

And finally,

The warmth reaches your feet,

Grounding and acknowledging every step you've taken in life.

Now with your entire being in a cocoon of glowing warmth,

Let yourself drift in this expansive realm of relaxation.

In this vast sanctuary of peace,

Time stands still.

The world outside exists,

But here in your inner sanctum,

All is calm,

All is well.

Slowly,

Like ripples returning to the shore after touching the vast ocean,

Begin to bring your awareness back.

Start with your fingers and your toes,

Giving them a gentle wiggle.

Then roll your ankles and your wrists,

Awakening the resting energies.

Deepen your breath.

Gradually let the external world filter in,

Lift your eyelids,

Absorbing the colors and the shapes and all the forms around you.

As you transition back,

I loved that yoga Nidra practice. The meditation very gently lead me to a calm relaxed state by the teacher’s calm voice and the intentional beats in the background. It was a lovely practice that both helps me feel like I could finally rouse myself from a groggy state in the morning where I couldn’t wake up or keep my eyes open. I also used it in the late afternoon when my chronic fatigue and the rainy dark afternoon caught up with me. I now feel like a had a little rest even though I didn’t sleep.
