Welcome to Sound Mind Meditation,

A practice to release and let go of any negative emotions,

Stagnant energy,

Or thought patterns that are no longer serving you.

Please position yourself to sit comfortably,

With your spine tall and your eyes closed,

And your hands neatly folded in your lap.

Draw attention to the sound of the drum and the rattle,

The sound of my voice,

And the rhythm of your breath to come into your body in the present moment.

We'll prepare the body to release by amplifying the energy found on the breath.

Begin to fill your belly with your inhale.

When the belly is full,

Contract the lower navel and take a strong exhale out through the nose.

Soften the belly the breath comes in.

When you're full,

Sharp quick exhale through your nose.

Continue with speed.

Keep going.

Use the sound of the drum and the rattle to keep pace.

Sharp quick exhale through the nose.

Soft and effortless inhale.

Let your belly do the work.

Sharp quick exhale continue.

As we rush fresh oxygen through the blood and through the brain,

Let the body become more energized with each quick sharp exhale and soft and natural inhale.

Slow down if you need to,

Or keep the pace with the sound of the rattle.

Lengthen your spine and keep going.

Soften your face.

Pump from the belly.

Start to generate some heat.

Pick up the power.

Five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

Exhale.

Inhale as much breath as you can.

Sip in a little bit more.

Hold.

Lengthen your spine and pause.

Suspend the breath and absorb the breath.

Send the breath down through the pelvic floor.

Inhale naturally.

Soft exhale through your mouth.

Letting go is a natural and regular process of assimilation,

Digestion,

And release.

And as you choose something to work with for the remainder of this practice,

Whether it be a situation at work,

A relationship,

Or a self-defeating emotion or thought form,

Choose one to work with that is creating the most unrest for you at this time.

Take your hands in your lap to neatly cup each other so the palms of the hands are facing up with one hand lightly rested in the other.

The breath becomes natural and smooth to aid you in release.

As you start to feel into and imagine the situation that you are working with in the process of letting go,

Visualize it in your mind's eye.

Feel how it's affecting your physical and your energetic being.

Notice if it's living anywhere as sensation of tightness or contraction inside of your body.

And imagine if the situation or thought form was to live in your body,

Where might it live?

Take your attention to the area of the body that you feel is creating the most contraction.

And breathe and imagine spaciousness growing around that part of the body.

Like it's encapsulating the contraction or the energy that you're needing to release.

Imagine the space you're creating is surrounding this pattern like a sphere or an orb.

Growing bigger with each breath.

Wrapping the contraction,

The emotion or the pattern in beautiful spaciousness inside of your body.

From wherever this is living in your body,

Begin to travel it down towards your lower belly.

And see it begin to leave your skin to land restfully in your hands.

This thought form,

Relationship or emotion wrapped in a bubble of spaciousness,

Resting neatly in your hands.

Hold it tenderly with the hands.

And feel any remembrance of the body that is holding on or clinging,

Very gently starting to release down and into the hands as well.

Take a moment to feel the desire for letting go.

Gratitude for whatever purpose this pattern or this emotion has served in maturing and creating you to this moment.

Feel this bubble begin to float now out of your hands,

Forward into the ether,

Much like you would see a child's bubble moving from a wand.

Moving up and away,

Moving farther from your physical body.

The lightness of your hands,

Feel the desire to let go.

Releasing that which no longer serves your vital life force.

Quietly now in a focused mind,

A soft mind.

And if anything else arises,

A self-destructive pattern,

A negative story,

Feel free to do this again.

Imagining where it lives in the body.

Creating a protective bubble of space around it.

And then on the vocals and on the breath,

Allowing it to channel through the body to rest softly in your hands.

Being clear about your desire to release and the gratitude for the role that it served.

And as you no longer need it,

See it begin to float effortlessly into the ethers,

The space in front of and above you,

Until you can no longer feel or see it in your experience and your awareness.

And as space gets created in the body mind,

Fill it with no thing.

Let space create more space for you to become more of who you are.

Feel into the center of your chest,

A little bit to the right of your beating heart.

And invite the felt sense of gratitude for all that you've endured to become all that you are.

Bring into the mind of the heart your family and your loved ones,

Your blessings and your challenges.

And let a felt sense of gratitude meet you in your heart.

And you can softly open your eyes.

There are some emotions in me that I'm unable to let go but this is the only medication practice that touched them and made an attempt in my innerself to let them go. Thank you really.
