This simple breathing technique uses the rhythm of the ocean to release tension and unwanted energy from the body. You will breathe in time to the music to find peace and flow in your day. This is a great, uplifting meditation to use as a rest when things aren't feeling quite right. Welcome everybody,

I'm so glad you made your way to this meditation.

We're going to breathe like the ocean so that we can breathe in newness and breathe out anything that we're holding onto.

Tension,

Anxiety,

Anything that we just don't want to hold in our body anymore.

Every inhale will be like the waves receding from the beach,

Powering us up for every energetic,

Powerful exhale.

Like the waves crashing on the ocean,

Releasing that stagnant energy that we've been holding onto.

We'll be able to breathe in time to the music so that we can just be in a state of flow.

Breathing in and breathing out.

If it feels good to you,

Put a little bit of restriction in the back of your throat with every inhale.

Kind of like an ujjayi breath if you're familiar with yoga or other breathing practices.

And if it's available to you with any exhales,

Try opening your mouth for an extra release.

But the most important thing is to do what feels good for you in this moment.

So sit back and get ready to breathe with me.

Straighten your spine,

Connect with your seat,

And feel into this moment.

Start to notice your breath.

Is it shallow?

Is it deep?

How does it feel today?

Just noticing without judgment and connecting to your breath.

On your inhale,

Try restricting the back of your throat a little bit to see how that feels.

And on the exhale,

Open your mouth and release all of the air,

Seeing if that's available to you today.

Just focusing on what feels good for you in the moment.

Fully exhale your lungs so that we can start to breathe together.

Let's go.

In.

Out.

In.

And out.

In using that constriction.

Out.

In.

Open mouth.

Out.

In.

Out.

In.

Focus on what feels good to you.

Out.

Releasing it all.

In.

Out.

In.

And out.

Now opening it up so that you can find your own rhythm.

Whatever feels good to you today.

Finding the rhythm on your own.

Focusing on the big,

Recharging inhales in.

Like the waves receding.

Constricting that throat if it feels good.

And the big,

Loud exhales.

Fully emptying the lungs.

Pushing out anything that's being held.

Whether it's in your lungs,

In your body.

And just feel yourself connecting with the power of the ocean.

The recharging and the releasing as you breathe.

Smell the ocean air.

Feel the breeze on your body.

Really connecting you with this moment.

And with the power that the ocean holds.

If it feels good to you,

Start to lengthen the exhales a little bit.

Focusing more on that release.

Make it loud.

Take up space.

Give it all back to the ocean.

Let it go.

Really feel that air exiting the body.

Let it go.

Find the flow.

Find the rhythm of the breath that feels good for you.

And let it go.

Let your waves be as big as you need them to be.

Let it go.

Every exhale allowing a little bit more of that energy to leave your body.

Big exhales.

Focus on that release.

Fully emptying your lungs.

Let it go.

Now shifting that focus to the inhales.

Breathing in new energy.

Filling you up with the feelings that you crave.

That you look for.

Deep inhales.

Breathe in.

Feel that air permeate every cell of your body.

From the tip of your head to the tip of your toes.

Your fingers.

Breathe in.

Recharging.

Reconnecting.

Breathing in the power of the water.

Breathing in the power of the ocean.

Breathing in your own power.

Breathe it in.

And start to bring your breath back to normal.

Find ease.

Find calm.

And just notice how you feel.

Connecting to this feeling whenever it serves you.

Thank you.
