Hi,
This is Sarah and today we're going to do a meditation practice together,
A gratitude meditation.
And we oftentimes forget about all the things we already have in place.
Usually our mind focuses on stuff that is not there,
That is not available for us,
Things we're missing we're lacking of instead of looking at those things that we already have and should be grateful.
Our whole body is a miracle,
It's an absolute miracle.
And with today's practice we try to focus on those things that are already in place and we should remind ourselves to be grateful for them.
So I would like you to close your eyes and find a comfortable seat or maybe laying down your feet and then try to relax every part of your body,
Let your body sink into the floor,
Mattress,
Cushion you are sitting on.
And take a deep breath in through your nose and breathe out through your mouth and deeply relax.
Then try to bring your focus towards your head,
To your eyes and we're going to send gratitude towards our eyes for all those beautiful pictures,
These colorful pictures that we see each and every day and that we've seen in the past and we see in the future of these loving beings,
Friends and family.
And send warm loving energy towards your eyes and we're going to focus on our ears and also send gratitude towards your ears for all these beautiful sounds,
Beautiful music,
Emotional music and all these beautiful words that have been said to us.
Send gratitude towards your ears and we move to our nose and also there send appreciation and gratitude towards the nose for all these sweet beautiful scents that we've been smelling in the past that we will smell in the future,
Flowers,
Fruit.
Send gratitude towards your nose and then let's move towards our mouth and be thankful for all these amazing tastes that we were able to taste in the past already,
These amazing foods.
Send gratitude towards your mouth and then send your attention towards your lungs and also here be thankful for all the air that is every minute flowing into our lungs and we transferred it into the blood and that keeps us alive without us doing anything.
The body does it for us,
The lungs they do it for us.
And then let's move down towards our hearts and be thankful for all these million pulses our hearts have been pumping for us.
It's that we were born and it will go on until our very last day on this planet will come.
Send gratitude towards your heart and then let's move on to our digestive system,
Stomach,
Brain,
Blood,
Belly,
Liver and be thankful for all these millions of functions that they have that they've filtered toxins out of our body and absorb nutritions that keep us alive,
That keeps the other organs alive.
Thankful for them functioning and keeping us alive.
Let's move on to our hips and legs and feet and also here send gratitude towards the legs and feet and be thankful for these million steps that we took.
We walked on this planet for these beautiful sceneries we've been able to see.
Send gratitude and love towards your legs and feet and also send gratitude towards your arms and hands and be thankful for all these hugs that we've been able to give and receive.
And then send gratitude towards each and every cell of the entire body and always keep in mind what a miracle you are,
What a miracle our body is.
It just functions without any permission,
Without asking.
It just happens.
Be thankful for everything that you already have in place.
And then slowly,
Slowly come back in your room.
Feel the temperature of the air in your face and when you're ready blink open your eyes.
I'll kindly ask you to take this meditation with you throughout the day and always remind yourself that you already have so much.
Use your eyes and appreciate the pictures you see,
Appreciate the sounds you might hear today,
The words.
Appreciate your feet and hands and your whole body.
Your whole body is a miracle.
Namaste.
I have a beautiful day today and thanks for listening to my meditation.
Hope to see you soon.
