Cultivating a sense of worthiness often requires deep healing. Many times we have carried unworthiness with us since childhood, and approaching it with understanding and self compassion is necessary to heal. In this meditation we will touch on unresolved unworthiness to allow deep healing, and a new approach to feelings of unworthiness moving forward.

Find a comfortable position,

Either sitting or lying down.

Begin by bringing a light attention to your breath wherever you notice it in your body.

Notice the lift and opening on your front body as you inhale,

Letting go and release that occurs on your exhale.

Use the attention on your breath to turn inwards and settle your body and your mind.

Breath in your feet,

Releasing any tension there.

Then the breath into your legs,

Your chest.

Send the breath down your arms.

Breathe into each finger.

Take a full,

Deep breath in.

And on your exhale,

Release any tension in your neck and jaw.

From this safe and relaxed place,

I would like you to look back and remember the first time you had thoughts of not being good enough.

Call to mind how this younger you felt in this situation.

Create an image in your mind of this younger version of you standing now in front of you.

Words does this younger you use to describe how they feel?

How do you feel hearing the words this younger you is saying?

Does this younger you need for comfort and healing?

Breathing in you right now that is needed to comfort and heal this younger you.

I would like you to tell this younger version of you,

You are worthy of happiness.

You are worthy of feeling good about who you are.

You are worthy of a bright and positive future.

You are valued exactly as you are.

You are loved exactly as you are.

You are accepted exactly as you are.

You are shortcomings are not weaknesses,

But strengths yet to be developed.

Feel secure in who you are.

There is no need to compare yourself to others.

Does this younger you feel hearing these words?

I would like you now to visualize this younger version of you speaking to you now.

Feel the strength and wisdom in their words.

You are worthy of happiness.

You are worthy of feeling good about who you are.

You are worthy of a bright and positive future.

You are valued exactly as you are.

You are loved exactly as you are.

You are accepted exactly as you are.

Your shortcomings are not weaknesses,

But strengths yet to be developed.

Feel secure in who you are.

There is no need to compare yourself to others.

Imagine embracing and becoming one with this healed younger version of you.

Feel a sense of comfort and joy nurturing the child within you.

Feel a healing peace around any situation in your life that made you feel unworthy or not good enough.

Forgive yourself for any past mistakes or shortcomings,

Any feelings of unworthiness or regret.

Acknowledge that mistakes and shortcomings create valuable life lessons for you to grow the best you can be.

You do not need to be perfect to be loved,

Valued,

And accepted.

That your talent and skill comes from hard work and determination and learning from mistakes.

Feel a true sense of pride in your accomplishments.

As you say to yourself,

I'm worthy of happiness,

Worthy of feeling good about who I am.

I am worthy of a bright and positive future.

I'm valued exactly as I am,

Exactly as I am.

I'm accepted exactly as I am.

My shortcomings are not weaknesses,

But strengths yet to be developed.

I feel secure in who I am.

There is no need to compare myself to others.

Use your breath now to begin to awaken your body and set your resolve to view yourself from a place of worthiness and acceptance.
