We often carry pain or trapped emotions deep within us that come from events in our childhood.

In today's meditation we are going to meet our inner child and uncover and heal some of these emotions.

Hi I'm Sita.

I'm an energy healer,

A meditation and mindfulness coach,

A life coach and I coach parents on how to teach their children money management.

And I'm so happy to have you here with me today.

To start the meditation I'd like you to make yourself comfortable now.

And cross your arms and legs,

Your back is straight,

Your neck and your head are tall.

And I'd like you to take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.

In through your nose and out through your mouth.

As you breathe in I'd like you to think,

I notice my breath and breathe out.

I notice my breath.

I notice my breath.

Now I invite you to soften your belly and as you breathe in and out I'd like you to say soften belly.

Soften belly.

Soften belly.

Soften belly.

And now I'd like you to open your heart and as you breathe in and out just say those words in your head.

Open heart.

Open heart.

Open heart.

Open heart.

Very good.

I'd like you to imagine that you're walking in one of your favorite places in the whole wide world.

Somewhere where you feel absolutely safe and happy and peaceful.

This could be a beach,

It could be a forest,

It could be a meadow,

It could be on a mountain.

Wherever you feel safe and absolutely secure and happy.

And as you're walking there you're all by yourself.

You just look around every step you take you enjoy the freedom.

You enjoy the fresh air.

You enjoy the peace and you're just walking.

Every step you take you let go of some worries.

The stress is falling off you with every step you take.

All negative thoughts are falling off you with every step you take.

And as you're walking along you see that in the far distance there's a person.

It looks like a small person.

And you're curious to see who that is so you walk in that direction.

And you get closer and closer.

Now you can see that it's a child.

There's a child there playing.

And you walk a little bit closer.

And when you get really close you realize that child is you.

This is you as a child.

What's the child doing?

Can you see what it's doing?

Is it playing?

Or is it reading a book?

Or is it just looking around?

Is it laughing?

Maybe it's crying.

Does it look happy or sad?

Just notice what that child is doing.

And if you feel like it maybe you can talk to the child.

Ask if you can spend some time with it.

If you can sit down next to it or play with it.

And whatever answer you get from the child you will accept it.

Maybe the child doesn't want to play with you.

Or maybe it's really happy to play with you.

Maybe it wants you to come closer.

Or maybe it doesn't want you to come too close yet.

Just feel what the child wants.

Ask it.

And accept it.

I'll give you a moment to just spend some time with that child.

It could be that you're doing something together or it could be that you're just watching.

Whatever it is just get comfortable.

You're safe.

And maybe you can give some safety to that child.

Is it easy or is it difficult for you to spend this time with your inner child?

What kind of emotions are you experiencing?

Are you really happy to be together?

Or do you maybe feel guilty because you didn't listen and connect with your inner child for such a long time?

Is your inner child maybe angry with you?

Or is it super happy to see you?

Whatever you see and whatever you feel is absolutely perfect right now.

If there's pain,

Accept it.

It will get better.

The more time you spend with your inner child the better your connection will get.

And the more you will heal yourself.

Before you go,

Before you leave that child,

I want you to get up and I invite you to say four things to your inner child.

The first thing I'd like you to say is I'm sorry.

And you can just leave it there as it is.

You can just say I'm sorry or you could say what you're sorry for.

Just look at your inner child and say I am sorry.

And then I'd like you to say to your inner child please forgive me.

And again you can just leave it there or you can specify what you want to be forgiven for.

Just look at that cute little face and say please forgive me.

Very good.

And now I'd like you to say thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you for being here for me.

Thank you for spending time with me.

For just simple thank you.

And now I'd like you to say I love you.

Look at that cute little child.

Look in the eyes of that child and say I love you.

Well done.

Now it's time to go home again.

And you might want to ask your inner child if it wants to come with you.

And it might say yes and it might say no.

Whatever you want to do and whatever the child wants to do is perfect for today.

So you might take the child by the hand and walk back towards your home.

Or you might say goodbye and walk back by yourself.

If your inner child doesn't want to come with you today that's fine.

You know where to find it.

You can always come back and spend more time together until maybe one day it will come with you.

Either way is perfect.

So now I invite you to get up and to walk back towards home.

Either by yourself or with your child on your hand.

Every step you take you feel lighter and happier.

You feel total peace.

And the further you get from the place where you spend time with your child the more aware you become of your surroundings again and of your body.

Maybe you hear sounds.

Maybe you want to wiggle your toes,

Move your arms a little bit.

And whenever you're ready I want you to slowly and mindfully open your eyes.

Welcome back.

Have a wonderful day.
