Welcome to this 10-minute guided meditation on embracing ovulation,
Your inner summer.
My name is Jessica Buck.
Thank you for allowing me to be your guide today.
I invite you to use these meditations as guides and a source of inspiration to feel into your own experience of your cycle.
To begin this meditation,
I recommend sitting or lying down in a quiet,
Comfortable place.
Once you have found your comfortable place,
Soften your gaze,
Maybe looking towards the horizon,
Or closing the eyes if that serves you.
Take a deep breath,
Inhaling,
Inflating the lower abdomen,
Your choice to bring your hands to connect to the lower belly.
Then exhale,
Gently deflating the lower abdomen.
Do this a few times,
Imagining with every inhale you are bringing in compassion and a sense of calm.
Or any other quality you need to bring into the body today.
And with every exhale,
Releasing any stress or tension or anything that you'd like to release.
When you are ready,
Allow your natural breath to take over again.
And as you settle into the meditation now,
Begin to notice how your body is simply feeling today.
Instead of connecting to the story that we tell ourselves,
Just notice.
Breathe in,
Experiencing the whole body here.
Noticing the rhythms of your emotional and physical presence.
Taking a moment here to appreciate all that you are able to experience through the senses today.
What sights,
Sounds,
And smells brought you pleasure?
What gift have you been able to tap into today through your body?
And just as life dances to varying rhythms and speeds,
So does your body.
Each phase of the menstrual cycle provides feedback to support your ever-changing health.
Connecting to the rhythmic cycles of life through the body can be done by noticing the inner seasons that you are in.
Ovulation is associated with the body's inner summer.
Notice the qualities within your body.
There may be feelings of warmth,
Heat,
Focus,
Luminosity,
And clarity through the mind and body.
Take this time to celebrate you in your fullness,
Relaxing and softening.
Let your whole body melt into the surface you are on.
Reflect for a moment on any superpowers that have expressed themselves through your body.
Do you feel a swiftness to your actions?
A heightened ability to focus and get things done?
Perhaps you have a clarity to your ability to communicate and express yourself.
What comes to mind?
And know that if none of the above come to mind,
That is okay.
Accept how you are presenting in this moment just by being here and breathing with your body.
Simply feel into the moment.
If the mind starts to connect to story,
Just allow the mind to be.
Allow yourself to feel the pleasure of being alive in the radiance of your inner summer.
However you are presenting today,
You are whole as you are.
Breathing in,
Breathing out,
Center,
Soften,
Relax into being.
Imagine yourself as a healthy vibrant rose expanding with ease and flow.
Feel yourself appreciating the edges and intricacies of your body.
.
.
Your miraculous and healthy body.
Know yourself as held in the space of grounded presence.
.
.
Offering a quiet thank you to your body for this day.
.
.
No matter what has happened or what has yet to happen.
Be that source of love and compassion for yourself.
Start to breathe in slowly for a count of four through the nose.
Three,
Two,
One.
Hold the breath at the top for a count of four.
Three,
Two,
One.
Exhaling through pursed lips.
Three,
Two,
One.
And then continue this breath pattern for about three more rounds.
Letting the breath flow in and out.
Cleansing the body,
Cleansing the energetic body and mental body.
When you finish,
Allow your breath to be easy and fluid.
.
.
Disconnecting from all effort and just allow yourself to be.
If it feels right,
Invite your hands to explore your body.
.
.
Maybe allowing the hands to navigate across the belly.
.
.
Graze the inner thighs,
Your shoulders.
.
.
Or dance along the chest.
.
.
Giving yourself a moment of intimacy with your body.
.
.
Embracing all that is you.
Know that you are worth celebrating in these simple and small moments of the day.
.
.
Really slowing down now.
.
.
Just being and enjoying this intimate,
Peaceful presence with yourself.
Gently start to bring your awareness back into your body,
Into your environment.
.
.
Taking a deep breath in,
Filling the air within your body.
.
.
Watching it flow in and down to your pelvic floor,
Rooting you into the present.
.
.
Exhale,
Letting all energetic residue melt away.
.
.
Maybe take a full body stretch here,
Allowing the hands to fall back behind the head.
.
.
Reaching the toes to the opposite end of the room.
.
.
Wiggle the fingers and flutter the eyes open,
Welcoming yourself back to your day.
Before we end this meditation,
Take note of your experience now.
.
.
Use this grounded presence to move through the rest of your day.
.
.
Knowing you are worthy of taking a moment for yourself.
.
.
And you can always connect to this inner resource no matter what season of your cycle that you are in.
Thank you for practicing and blessings to you on your journey.
