Namaste and welcome to this short and simple meditation that is actually a micro meditation I would say.
It is something that I myself practice a lot and I don't really even see it as a practice.
It is more of a shift in perspective that is very clarifying,
That is very sobering and brings a lot of appreciation,
Clarity and playfulness to my experience.
And I call the meditation instant clarity.
And it goes like this.
In whatever circumstance or place or time you find yourself in,
In whatever mood,
Whatever state,
You just look at your experience and you surrender to the fact that it is an experience,
The whole thing.
Not only your environment is an experience but your own body,
Your own character,
Your own person is actually an experience.
Your identity,
Your gender,
Your ideas,
Your opinions,
Even this exercise is an experience.
The whole of existence is an experience,
Including the world,
The universe,
The feelings,
The thoughts,
The identity,
The self-image,
The feelings,
The story,
All of it is obviously an experience.
But for whom?
And knowing that everything you can find,
Every single sensation,
Perception,
Thought and emotion is an experience.
Knowing that,
You know that you are not one of them.
You are not an experience.
So who are you then?
Because you are here.
You are aware of this moment.
You are listening to this.
You are experiencing your body.
But as what?
So go now with your attention and leave all experiences for a while.
Let them play,
Let them be.
Bring your attention all the way home to yourself,
To the observer,
To the witness of this and find out.
It doesn't matter what this moment looks like,
Because it is just an experience and we want to get to know you,
The experiencer.
So stay here.
Stay with your attention here,
In yourself,
In your presence,
Until you remember.
And what you remember will not be a thought.
Your true self does not fit in an image,
In a concept,
In an idea.
Your true self is the most intimate presence and it's the most indescribable one.
No word that comes up in the head of your character will ever capture who you are.
So the only way to know yourself is to directly,
As yourself,
Know yourself,
Feel yourself,
Become aware of your presence.
And as this recognition starts to dawn on you,
As you start to remember that you are beyond all experiences,
Good or bad,
You're beyond all dreams,
All days and nights,
All chapters of life,
That you are the experiencer of them,
But forever beyond.
As this starts to dawn on you,
You are ready to dive back into the experience,
Into this realm,
Into this earthly game.
But this time,
As you return,
You will return with a spark in your eye.
That spark that we recognize in each other.
That spark of knowing,
Of playfulness,
That we know we are here to experience each other,
To experience uniqueness,
Adventure,
Surprise and forgetfulness.
We are here for the experience,
But who we are is forever beyond.
And knowing yourself,
You know all of us.
Thank you and Namaste.
