The body's innate wisdom and capacity for healing are often overlooked when people are on a healing journey. Use this practice, no matter where you are in that journey, to tap into the subtle cues and communications from the body. This practice will slowly help to forge a relationship between the body and mind allowing synergy and flow.

Welcome to my first meditation on Insight Timer.

Today we are going to be delving into the signs of the body and how we read those as it pertains to healing.

So settle in,

Find a comfortable position.

Close your eyes.

Take a deep breath in.

And release that.

Take another deep breath in.

And let that go.

Slowly feel the tension in your muscles dissipating.

Feel your jaw unlock.

Release it as you continue to breathe and focus on your breath.

Once you feel like you've achieved a level,

A state of relaxation,

Focus on your center.

The part of you where everything converges,

Where all the energies come together.

See if you can find that.

If you're having a hard time with this,

Keep focusing on your breathing.

And see if through that focus on your breathing something naturally comes up for you.

Once you've found that center,

That point within you,

See if you can give it a quality.

Is there tension there?

Is there pain?

Is it relaxed?

Try and determine what that part is trying to tell you about your energies.

What that center is telling you about what's going on in your body right now.

Sometimes thinking about if you can give it a color will help.

Is there red?

And what does that red mean to you?

Is it green?

Is it blue?

Once you've tapped into that quality,

See if you can follow it.

You know,

It doesn't originate in the center of your body.

See if you can follow that.

Is there a trail to somewhere else in the body?

Does it start at the head and work its way to your center?

Or does it start down in your feet?

Or is it just in your gut?

Is it perhaps something that you've been trying to ignore,

But the more you try to ignore,

The more weight you feel put on yourself.

Whatever it is,

Don't try and push it away.

Try and sit with it.

Try and observe it.

What color is it?

Where is it coming from?

As you're observing it,

Do you feel that getting stronger?

Or do you feel it getting weaker?

How do you feel?

How does your nervous system feel?

Do you feel any sense of relief?

Or do you feel panic?

If you start to feel the ladder,

Focus on your breathing again.

Try and keep your body,

Your muscles relaxed as you start to establish this new and different relationship with your body.

This practice is a new way to try and connect with the body as far as healing is concerned.

Trying to tap into the different ways that our body can give us information and insight on what it needs from us.

So try and really pay attention to that.

What is your body telling you?

Not how do you fix it,

But what do you need to be listening to?

Continue breathing now.

Allow whatever insight you've gained and gathered to kind of marinate in your head.

Slowly start to let your breathing come back to a normal pace.

Bring your awareness to the sounds around you.

Maybe give your eyes a couple flutters to let the light come in.

And when you're ready and comfortable,

Open up your eyes.

You have started a truly important journey of reconnecting to your body and your body's innate wisdom today.

I fully encourage you to continue to let whatever insights that you've gathered today to kind of turn over in your mind.

And I fully encourage you to write them down if you feel called to do so.

This is a process and very rarely will you walk away from one session having the absolute answer.

But you will walk away with insights that will develop and grow over time.

So thank you for practicing with me today and I look forward to seeing you again in the future.
