Hi,

I'm Shayla Vaughn and this is a simple grounding meditation that you can do anytime that you're feeling anxious and need to just take a moment,

Take a breath and decompress.

So when you're ready,

Just making yourself comfortable on the floor,

Lying down.

And once you're there,

Perhaps allowing a pillow,

A few blankets,

Underneath your head,

Maybe placing one or two blankets on top of you,

Maybe bending the knees and allowing a bolster or pillows to slide underneath your knees,

Protecting your low back.

Really making sure that you are as comfortable as possible and taking time to set up for yourself.

And then once you have made yourself comfortable,

If it feels alright for you to close down the eyes,

I'll invite you to close down the eyes and place one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly and just begin to notice how your hands feel on your body,

On your clothes,

Focusing on just one or two areas and really honoring the simplicity of that.

Starting to notice your body softly rise and fall with every inhale and every exhale.

Feeling the warmth underneath your palms.

And then begin to visualize a bright,

Warm,

Gold light radiating underneath your palms.

And each time you breathe,

The radius of that gold light stemming from underneath your palms feels a little bit larger with every inhale.

And taking a few more slow rounds of breath right here,

Right now,

Until eventually your whole body from the crown of your head to the soles of your feet are covered in that bright,

Warm,

Gold light.

Allowing yourself to just feel that warmth,

To feel that inner light all within you.

While still enjoying the simplicity of simply just breathing,

Being,

And noticing.

And we'll take one full breath here together.

Breathing in through the nose and exhale out the mouth.

And then just slowly bringing your bottom hand on top of your top hand.

And just focusing on your heart.

And feeling that connection,

Feeling that radiant light,

And that energy.

Reminding yourself that regardless of what's happening externally to you,

You can always take time to tune it inside,

To feel your heart,

To feel your body,

To feel your soul.

And whenever it feels right for you,

You can slowly release your hands down.

Just rolling to one side in a fetal position.

Moving really slowly with intention.

And eventually making your way back up to a seated position.

And just taking this time to thank yourself for carving out time for you and for taking a moment to listen,

To learn,

And to decompress.

Thank you so much for joining me.

I hope you feel a little bit lighter and I look forward to connecting with you soon.

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.

Thank you.

I loved this meditation! The visualization of the radiant gold light was so calming and almost comforting. When she was talking about it being on your hands, then legs, etc. I felt like I was really breathing deeply and I was so calm afterwards.
