Feel the contact of your seat on the surface beneath you.
Allow yourself to relax into that support.
The spine is long and elegant.
A softening moving through the shoulders,
The arms,
The hands.
Welcome length into the neck,
The back of the head and a softening moving through the scalp,
The brow,
The eyes and the jaw.
Pay attention to the breath moving in and out of the body.
Follow its natural cadence.
Allow the breath to gently expand and soften into all of the resistant corners of your being.
And then take a breath in through the nose,
The breath moving deeply into the body and then breathe out through your mouth and allow for a sense of surrender.
Breathing in through the nose,
Expanding,
Opening and breathing out through the mouth,
Clearing,
Shifting.
One more breath in through the nose,
Breathing out through the mouth and then let the breath settle back into its own natural rhythm.
And allow this quiet presence to wake you to the natural rhythms within you.
The gathering and releasing of the breath,
A continuous cycle of opening,
Accepting,
Releasing and clearing.
The arising and dissolving of sensation in the body,
Integrating,
Digesting,
Exchanging.
The expansion and contraction of the beating heart,
Pulsing,
Connecting.
Cultivating a trust in these natural rhythms,
Allowing you to heighten your faith in the cycles of life.
Opening you to life on a grander scale.
The rhythms within you,
A reflection of the benevolent rhythms around you.
The rising and setting of the sun,
The waxing and waning of the moon,
The ebb and flow of the tides,
The coming and going of the seasons.
Recognising that you are an integral part of this natural movement,
Rhythm and flow.
Witnessing existence,
Welcoming existence.
Allow this natural rhythm to guide you through your day and bring yourself back to this natural rhythm as often as you can remember.
This benevolent force will support you,
Your wellbeing,
Your health and your vitality.
It will help you cultivate a more meaningful connection with the bigger picture.
That you are an important part of a larger,
Loving,
Supportive system.
Lift your hands and bring them to rest onto your chest,
Over your heart.
