Good morning.
I welcome you to this morning breathwork session that is intended to help you feel invigorated and calm.
Take a deep breath in and on the exhale slowly close your eyes.
Allow yourself to center within your body.
Feel your body.
Feel the presence within your body.
Notice how your breath nourishes your cells and brings life force into your energy field.
Now sit upright either in a chair or meditation pillow in a quiet space.
Place your hands on your thighs,
Palms facing upward.
Tuck your chin in slightly so that your neck lengthens.
Make sure your back is straight.
You may need to tilt your hips forward and push your chest out and up a little bit.
The better your posture the easier these breathing exercises will be.
All breath is done through the nose in this session so you will be able to keep your mouth comfortably closed.
Take a deep breath in and nice long exhale.
We will begin with breath of fire.
Breath of fire is an activating breath where we rapidly contract our diaphragm and with it push air out through our nostrils.
Our mouth stays closed the whole time.
You contract the diaphragm by quickly pulling your belly to your spine.
Imagine you're trying to fit into a tight pair of jeans and pulling in your belly.
It will be just like that but with a quick contraction.
The inhale then happens automatically by relaxing your diaphragm or belly.
No effort is needed for the inhale.
All your attention will be on the exhale so that your breath is rapidly pushed out through your nostrils.
Speed is important for this type of breathing so please follow my lead as I pace the breath for us.
In the beginning this type of breath can feel a bit straining on an untrained diaphragm but with time it will become second nature.
We will do three sets of 30.
The purpose of this type of breathing pattern is to bring oxygen into your body to wake it up and increase oxygen levels in your blood that you will draw upon for the second type of breath which will guide your brain into an open and transcended state.
This will help you connect to your higher self,
Your inner sovereignty and that calm version of you beyond time and space.
It allows you to shift your perspective on your life.
Let's begin.
And now relax.
Take a nice long deep breath in.
That's it.
And we're going to do another round.
Deep breath in and and nice long exhale.
That's it.
Allowing yourself to rest for a moment and another nice long deep inhale and we're going to continue.
And allowing yourself to relax now.
That's it.
Take a deep breath in now and hold it and exhale fully.
That's it.
Another deep inhale and a nice long exhale.
Wonderful.
Now we're moving into circular breath to a count of four each.
Keep your eyes closed.
In your head you can count to four for each step of your breath cycle.
We'll breathe in to the count of four,
Hold our breath to the count of four,
Exhale to the count of four and hold that exhale to a count of four.
All breath is conducted through your nose.
Now breathe in through your nose three,
Four,
Hold your breath two,
Three,
Four,
Exhale two,
Three,
Four,
Hold two,
Three,
Four,
Inhale two,
Three,
Four,
Hold two,
Three,
Four,
Exhale two,
Three,
Four,
Hold two,
Three,
Four.
Keep breathing in this pattern and silently keep counting to four in your head.
While you do relax your mind.
Allow the breath to take over your mind and find deep relaxation and detachment.
Become present in this moment.
Going within to meet yourself.
Meet the presence that is beyond time and space.
The observer.
Release the breath now.
Take a deep breath in and exhale deeply.
That's it.
Wonderful.
You can stay in this serene place as long as it feels comfortable or you can continue with the morning manifesting visualization.
Once you open your eyes you will feel invigorated and motivated to take on your day from a positive energy and mindset.
Inner alignment has taken place.
When you're ready open your eyes.
