Breathe Out The Past, Breathe In The Future

A beautiful, calm, and gentle guided meditation to help you release the fears and limits of the past in your mind and open your heart to future possibilities. Allow your creativity to flow beyond the boundaries of time and space in the moments between the in-breath and the out-breath. (This meditation was recorded from a live event which starts with a welcome message beforehand and a quick review after the meditation.) Meditation now.

So if everyone is ready,

Turn the notifications off on your phone.

You know,

Become comfortable wherever you are sitting back,

Laying down.

And in a moment,

I'm going to ask you to just put the phone down by your side or leave it on your lap.

You don't need to see me,

You can hear me okay,

And that's all right.

You're going to be bringing your attention into your own awareness into what it is that you need right now in this moment and whatever it is that is okay.

Remember that.

So everybody,

If you're ready,

I'll just ask you to close your eyes,

Put the phone down to the side.

This is my,

If you want to look,

This is me taking my notes today on gratitude and what I'm doing during the day is I'm doing my own meditation and whatever inspiration I get,

I write it down so that I can share it with all of you.

So that's one of the things about this time that we're being locked in,

You know,

It's not really about locked in,

I suppose what it's doing,

It's opening up our awareness to who we are in the moment and it's opening up our awareness to our own creativity.

You know,

Waiting to get out,

You know,

Waiting to continue with our lives as they were before,

We're not creating.

So for me,

I'm taking it day by day.

And again,

If you can try and do that,

If there's something that you've been putting off creatively,

You can maybe start taking little notes and maybe wondering how you can bring that into your own life.

I've also started a lovely gratitude jar and it was just a gift somebody had given me and I'm placing a little gratitude in it every single day.

And as I said,

So everyone,

Let's come into the space now.

So first of all,

I just want you to allow yourself to become aware of the body.

Just in this moment as you close your eyes,

Bring your awareness into your own body.

Be aware of your body sitting or laying down.

And if you want to take a deep breath in and a big sigh of relief out,

Do that once or twice for yourself.

And just allowing the body to respond to that beautiful sigh of relief that you can let go now that you can allow yourself the space and time to just be eyes closed.

Bring awareness into yourself.

Be aware of all parts of your body.

Maybe there's an area within your body that's calling out to you right now.

Maybe an area that has a little bit of stress or tension or discomfort.

And if you wish,

You can place a hand on that area very gently.

And with love,

Let that area know that you're here that you're present,

That you're listening to your body.

As you gently breathe in and out of that area.

Just feel that area now in the body.

And if you can,

Placing your hand on it or just bringing your attention in your mind to that area.

Gently breathing in and out of that area.

With love,

Not judging the discomfort or the stress or the pain in your body.

Just simply allowing your attention to focus on it for a few moments.

And in that area of your physical body,

You hold an emotion.

And imagine that emotion as a color within that area.

What color will it be?

Allow yourself to think the color or to see the color inside in that area of your body.

Whatever the color is,

Just breathe into it.

Be aware of it.

Notice how it feels as you tune into that color within the physical body.

And every time you breathe out,

You're giving permission for whatever it is you're feeling to gently move from that area.

So it doesn't feel stuck or blocked.

You can imagine the color as you breathe out,

Coming out through the mouth or nose.

Feel the color dissipating throughout the body.

Into little tiny particles that are so much easier to shift and move besides this one block of color.

Just bringing the awareness constantly with the breath into the body and allowing the out breath to let go.

Being present in the moment.

Being present and aware of yourself,

Your body and your emotion.

Without judging anything,

Just allowing ourselves to be.

And whatever has been going on for you,

The last few days or just even today,

We let it just move through the mind gently and easily now.

Bringing ourselves back to the moment and back to ourselves.

And we become more aware of our breathing now.

With every in breath,

We are breathing in the future with all its beautiful possibilities.

And as we breathe out,

We are breathing out the past and all that went with it.

Knowing that we can't change anything about the past.

We hold onto those beautiful memories that bring love and joy into our lives.

And we learn from the past that shaped our minds,

Our choices and helped us become who we are today.

Breathing in the future,

Whatever it may be.

And breathing out the past,

Letting go.

Breathing in the future and all that you want to create.

Breathing out the past and all those false limitations you placed upon yourself.

The future doesn't have anything to do with the past.

So we continue to breathe in the future and breathe out the past.

That beautiful breath entering and leaving the body.

See your past going out behind you and your future coming towards you.

You're surrendering to the moment.

Letting go of control to change anything.

Letting go.

We're simply allowing in this moment to breathe in our beautiful futures and all its possibilities.

Breathing out our past and all the limitations we may have placed on us.

May all that is forgiven in you be released.

May your fears yield their deepest tranquility.

May all that is unlived in you blossom into a beautiful future graced with love.

See and feel all your future possibilities flowing towards you,

Around you,

Becoming you.

See all your past lifetimes behind you.

All passions and beliefs that no longer serve you melting away.

All fears,

Doubts and worries just drift away into space.

As you allow your energy to open up to all the future possibilities you wish to create from this moment.

Watch the flow of time and you are the central point of consciousness.

You sit in the centre of your reality that is unchanging.

You exist outside the boundaries of time.

You are the centre of your reality and in the moment between the in-breath and the out-breath there is a pause.

It is in that moment of pause between the breaths when you slip into the eternal now.

Allow yourself now silently for the next few minutes to be aware of that pause,

To float in the eternal now.

And the peace,

The bliss and the serenity in that space.

And I want you to allow yourself to go deeper,

Deeper within yourself as if travelling within a beautiful universe just within your energy.

And as we focus on our energy,

A space within us,

We allow our energy to expand.

Just surrendering and letting go.

We allow ourselves to travel beyond time.

Wherever it is,

You allow yourself to go.

You will learn from it.

You will gain wisdom and insight and healing.

Open fully to this awareness,

To this calm and to this bliss as we allow ourselves to become so expansive.

With every breath,

You travel further and deeper,

Deeper within ourselves to our inner knowing.

Let the joys of the universe unfold in your consciousness.

Feel your heart opening.

And in this moment of expansiveness,

Imagine or believe you are connecting with the earth and in this moment of expansiveness,

Imagine or believe you are connecting with each and every person in this meditation tonight.

Always a beautiful circle of light and love and support.

And from our hearts,

We send this beautiful feeling to the whole world for its healing.

We send gratitude to the world and everyone in it.

And as you connect,

Your energy expands even further and beautiful colors surround and fill you as we share awareness,

Knowledge and wisdom on a deeper level.

We share that divine support.

We breathe in love and we breathe out peace.

Breathe in peace and breathe out love.

Breathe in peace and breathe out love.

Breathe in peace and breathe out love.

And we each serve the best cause in life.

The cause that brings the greatest joy,

The greatest purpose and the greatest peace.

And that is my intention for myself and all of you.

And I want you to silently say to yourself,

I deserve the best in life.

Because you are a manifestation of the universe,

A source of God,

All that is beautiful,

All that is whole and all that is loving.

Adios.

To stay in that space of peace and love.

To stay in that space of peace and love.

And now I'm going to gently ask you to become aware of the breath once again.

Feel the breath coming in and out of your body.

Be aware of your feet,

Of your hands.

Be aware of your face and smile.

And we breathe in deeply now again into the body.

Letting the body know we are bringing it back to full awareness in a moment.

Back to this space,

Back to from where you started,

On the chair or laying down.

Back to this moment.

I know some of you may have drifted off,

Or you want to stay in that space for a little while and that's okay because it was such a beautiful space.

I just want to say a very big thank you to each and every one of you for joining me tonight.

A lot of adults don't understand it either.

I work with colour quite a lot.

So colour for me would be an indication of certain things,

But maybe a colour for you represents something.

So maybe work with that yourself over the next few days.

That is your sacral chakra.

That's our emotional centre.

So for you,

Different areas and I may do that on Wednesday,

I just kind of go through the different colours,

Different areas for you to give you a guide maybe as to what you're holding where.

But again,

Our emotions may be blocked or stagnant in the emotional centre,

And the lower back pain,

Obviously the front and back of that sacral chakra and letting the energy move.

You know,

So sometimes what we'll do is we'll feel the physical pain before we'll recognise there's an emotion present.

So sometimes your physical body is giving you an indication you're holding on or something is stuck within you.

So listen to that beautiful body a little bit more.
