This practice provides you with gentle reminders that just like trees when they drop their leaves, you may be ready to let go. Maybe it's an old thought pattern that no longer supports you. Maybe it's the past you've been holding on to. Maybe it's fear about what the future will bring. Whatever it is, in its own timing and by going within, the answers will come to you. Allow yourself to surrender to this moment, know you are safe and experience the beauty that comes from letting go.

Hello and welcome to your meditation.

Take some time to get really comfortable.

You can sit in a chair or sit on a meditation cushion or you could lie flat on the floor in shavasana relaxation pose.

If you're choosing that option,

Make sure to use a blanket or pillow to support the back of your head and neck and you can even roll a blanket to support underneath your knees.

Really take the time to get comfortable for this meditation.

Whatever you decide,

The choice is yours.

Just allow yourself to feel comfortable,

Relaxed and settled.

Close your eyes.

Take a full breath in through your nose.

Open your mouth and exhale.

On your next inhale breath,

Breathe in healing energy and as you open your mouth release any stagnant or stuck energy.

And inhale healing energy.

Open your mouth and release any stagnant energy.

One more deepest breath in and exhale release any tension.

Just let it all go.

You can let your breath naturally breathe your body now.

Inhaling through the nose.

Exhaling through the nose.

Just let the natural rhythm of your own breath effortlessly breathe your body.

Bring your awareness to the crown of your head.

Notice your thoughts.

Maybe they're quiet.

Maybe they're restless.

It's all okay.

Wherever you are in this moment is right where you need to be.

It's always different.

So without judging or forcing your thoughts to go away,

Imagine that your mind is a big blue expansive sky and you gently turn your thoughts into big white clouds.

Watch the clouds float in and then just watch them float out allowing the thoughts to turn to clouds in your big expansive mind.

As you feel a calm come over you and every muscle in your face is now relaxing.

As you swallow you can feel the back of your throat releasing,

The tongue from the roof of your mouth releasing,

The inner ear releasing.

The breath is still naturally flowing in and out.

Your throat is soft.

Your shoulders are releasing from your ears and just imagine that calming feeling,

That sensation is washing down your whole body.

Releasing and relaxing your arms,

Your hands,

Your fingers,

Your heart,

Your belly,

Your hips,

Your thighs,

Your knees,

Your ankles,

Your toes,

Everything is relaxed now.

As your body feels solid,

Heavy,

Relaxed,

Your heart is still light and expanding and rising to the sky with each breath.

Imagine that you are walking on an open path surrounded by beautiful colorful trees.

Maybe it's autumn and the colors of these trees are so vibrant,

So full of color,

Red,

Orange,

Yellow and even hints of green.

You can see golden light dancing on the leaves as they move in the gentle breeze.

The sky above you is blue,

Expansive,

Not a cloud in that sky.

You can feel the warmth from the bright sun.

It's the kind of perfect fall day that feels inspiring and uplifting.

As you walk down that beautiful path,

You might even hear the crunch of the leaves under your feet and you'll notice the colorful leaves falling down on the path in front of you and all around you.

It's as though it's raining leaves.

A gentle letting go as you watch the leaves float down,

Down,

Down at your feet.

It's so beautiful and it brings you to this moment.

A moment of mindful seeing.

Pay attention to all that's around you right before you.

Watch with curious eyes just like a child would seeing this beautiful moment in nature for the very first time.

You might even hear the sounds of the trees around you,

Those colorful leaves rustling in the gentle breeze.

Just like the leaves on that beautiful path,

You feel ready to release and let go.

This is a time of self-reflection,

A time of stillness that invites your mind to quiet and your heart to open.

A time to simply allow this moment on your life's path to unfold.

You trust that in its own timing,

You too will know when it's ready to release.

You'll know what to release.

Maybe it's an old thought pattern that no longer supports you.

Maybe it's the past you've been holding onto.

Maybe it's fear and the worry of what the future will bring.

Whatever it is,

In its own timing and by making space in your life to go within,

The answers will come to you.

Just as nature knows when to drop the leaves,

You will know when to release and let go.

Now is the time to be here,

To listen,

To ground yourself into the earth,

To feel the healing light energy of that big vibrant sun around you and enter your body with each inhale.

And as you exhale,

You just feel this release and letting go.

Know that you are safe.

Feel supported by the earth.

Feel grounded like the trees.

Remember you are part of nature.

Your heart and soul know deep within you what you are ready to release.

You know that when you fully surrender and let go to what you've been holding onto,

Just like the trees in the season of fall,

You will make space for new growth.

Remember there will be time after letting go where it feels like nothing is happening.

The true growth is happening inside.

Just like the trees in winter,

After they let go and release their beautiful leaves,

It looks like nothing is happening.

They go dormant.

But as we all know,

The buds and blooms will come again.

It's here in the space where your true growth is taking place.

Allow yourself to be here,

Letting go of stagnant energy,

Letting go of restless thoughts,

Letting go of any tension in the body.

And invite your heart to expand.

Let your inner knowing be heard,

Without holding on,

Without attaching.

Let go.

Surrender.

Accept what is and know that you are safe.

Know that you are supported.

Understand that your life is unfolding in the absolute right timing for you.

And now simply enjoy the space.

Be here in this stillness.

And I will let you know when it's time to return.

Thank you.

Take a deep inhale.

Open your mouth as you exhale.

You might even feel like softly smiling,

Simply noticing how you feel in this moment.

You are on that beautiful path and the trees are all around you.

The colorful leaves dancing about,

The vibrant sun sending you warm and nourishing light.

This is your path.

This is your life.

Beautiful and imperfect and releasing and making space for new growth,

For new beginnings.

There is no right path,

Simply the path that is right for you.

Remember there is great beauty in letting go.

There is great freedom in releasing.

New beginnings need space to grow.

Know that in the releasing you will feel refreshed and renewed.

Trust that you truly have all the answers inside you.

Keep making space for stillness to allow them to unfold.

I hope you can take this feeling and this deep knowing with you throughout the rest of your day.

Namaste.

Such a beautiful meditation. I will save it and do it every morning for a while. I just had a beautiful fall walk in New England yesterday so the imagery was perfect. Thank you and Namaste!
