Is there a decision you need to make? A choice between options? Sometimes when we must choose, our fears can cloud our judgment, or even prevent us from evaluating. This journey offers a way to access your inner knowing. That part of you that is already clear on your optimal path. It is about gaining clarity between choices and will work best if you come prepared with a decision you want to make and two possible choices. May it bring you clarity, certainty, and agency.

Welcome to this guided journey for clarity and decision-making.

My name is Shannon and today we will explore a tool to reveal what you already know.

Often when we are faced with a decision,

Our emotions and in particular our fears can cloud the issue or even leave us paralyzed and unable to truly evaluate the thing.

But you know,

Somewhere in you the answer is clear.

So let's see if we can bring that clarity closer to the surface.

Get your body really comfortable.

This tool works best when you're sitting,

But however you feel most comfortable is fine.

Take a few deep breaths.

Allow your eyes to scan your space and just notice something that you like,

A favorite object,

The color of the light streaming through a window,

The shape of a leaf.

Notice that you are safe in this moment.

And now allow your eyes to close.

And behind your eyes,

See the surface of a lake,

Ripples and shimmers.

Seeing them slow and come into stillness.

See how clear the water is and let everything settle.

And now drawing up this question,

The dilemma,

The choice,

The shift,

Without allowing it to stir up your water,

Just seeing the issue rise to the surface slowly,

Clearly.

Observe it with neutrality and trust that it's okay.

And if you'd like,

You can put a hand on your heart or your belly and remind yourself,

I know what is best.

I trust my power to decide.

And I'll invite you to start rubbing your hands together pretty vigorously.

We want a little heat,

A little tingle,

So you can really focus on the energy that's in there.

Keep going.

Yeah,

You're really noticing the sensations in your hands.

And now hold your hands out in front of your body,

Almost like they're scales.

You might rest your elbows against your ribcage or your belly to help prop your hands up.

And calling to mind your first option and now your second option.

If you have more than two choices that you're working with,

You can do this again and again until you whittle them down.

But for now,

Let's just start with two.

Which hand feels more like option A,

Right or left?

Perfect.

So seeing the choice in that hand now and asking what it wants.

What does this choice,

This opportunity,

This leap of faith,

This ending want for you?

What is its positive intention?

What benefit might it bring you?

And even though this feels like a thinking task,

Really staying in your body,

Staying with your breath,

Noticing any changes in temperature or sensation,

Allowing this choice to show you the path.

If you make this decision,

Watching yourself tomorrow,

Next month,

Next year,

In 20 years,

Who do you get to be if you make this choice?

And now let's give the other choice a turn.

Seeing that other choice in your other hand now,

Feeling the weight of it as if it was real and asking what it wants.

This decision,

This opportunity,

This leap of faith,

This ending,

What does it want for you?

What is it trying to get you?

What is its best wish for your life?

How might it benefit you?

And again watching the path unfurl.

If you make this choice,

Who are you tomorrow?

Who are you next month?

Who are you next year?

What life do you get to live if you make this choice?

Let's go a little deeper now,

Taking in a deep breath and then exhaling it out twice as long.

Inhaling deeply,

Exhaling so,

So slowly.

Feeling your body heavier and heavier.

Feeling that sense of trust deeper and deeper.

And now these two powerful hands that are out in front of you,

You can turn those hands to face one another without touching.

Palms both facing in toward the center.

And in a moment,

Your mind will begin to integrate this information.

All these positive intentions,

All these hopeful possibilities.

And your hands will begin to come closer and closer all on their own.

There's no rush here.

Allowing your hands to move whenever they are ready.

Whenever your mind has integrated enough.

When things are clear enough.

That's right.

Yes.

You're doing great.

This is your brain telling you that it's integrating all this information.

And this is you telling your brain that you are open to this answer.

And you can just allow your mind to show you an image that represents your path.

It will come naturally and easily.

You don't have to do a thing.

If it isn't obvious in this moment,

Trust that you will find your signal in your sleep,

Or as you're daydreaming,

Or you will just start noticing it everywhere.

You've put together this choice,

This path.

And you can rely on that with certainty.

Because you know deep down what is best for you.

Bringing yourself back into the space.

Stretching.

Yawning.

Blinking.

Taking care of this human body.

This was beautiful and gentle and a deeply caring experience. I noticed as I joined hands that one hand was caressing the other as if one choice was trying to take care of the part of me that is afraid and believes it must make the first choice. Really nice. Feels like a combination of somatic and IFS work. I will practice this meditation again and again.

This was very helpful, more than simple brainstorming by writing in paper I used to do. I did all that process in my mind with her guidance without looking at my writing on paper, yet it was easier, more organized, and it brought a clear decision. I am comfortable with what I reached. I appreciate her guidance that was easy to follow, and the speed of her talk especially, which gave me enough time to process my thoughts. I thank her for this meditation that leads me to get to my own decision.
