From Shane Piñata,

I'm Colleen Thomas.

This is Daily Magic for Peace.

Today we will pause and find our balance.

Welcome to the circle.

Today all you need is something to write with.

This could be a journal,

This could be a piece of paper,

This could be your phone,

It could be a computer,

It could be anything where you can capture some thoughts.

I invite you to pause the episode here and grab something.

And as we arrive today,

I want to welcome you into this moment,

In this circle,

With us,

Right now.

This is a circle that transcends space and time,

So we're kind of always here whenever you're here.

Through the magic of intention,

We have crafted this circle so that it's always available to anybody who listens to this episode at any time.

So you are welcome.

We're going to connect in with our nervous system today by returning to a bit of swaying.

And if you're in a place where you don't want to be swaying,

People might look at you,

You could sway your hand,

You could do micro swaying.

I invite you to just experiment in finding a rhythm.

Swaying is a very inherently comforting thing that humans do.

It's something that you might just do if you picked up a child or an infant.

The very calming motion,

The rhythm,

The back and forth-edness of it,

These can be very calming to our nervous system.

So I invite you to conclude your swaying,

Let your swaying slow down,

And join me in taking a breath.

And now let's deepen that breath a little bit.

Let's take another breath down into our belly.

Let's experiment with a little bit of belly breathing as a different way of grounding right now.

Maybe just notice your belly,

The lower part of your belly even,

Maybe put a hand there if that feels comforting to you,

And see what it would feel like to breathe a nice,

Deep belly breath.

We can do it together.

Breathing in,

And letting go.

And let's do two more.

See how deep you can breathe.

And release.

Let's do one more deep,

Deep,

Deep belly breath.

Let's experiment with that.

So breathing in,

Nice,

And breathing out.

With this kind of deep breathing,

It can be fun to expand into the whole belly,

And then into the back body,

And to the side body.

And you can just experiment with how much space can you fill with your breath.

So today our intention is to pause and find our balance.

That concept of balance,

We played with it a little bit during the swaying.

We have to have some kind of anchor,

Some kind of balance,

Some kind of grounding to effectively sway,

Or else we just fall over.

So maybe returning to that swaying motion for just a few minutes,

And just notice where is your balance within that movement?

Where is your balance within that movement?

It's playing,

Feeling into that idea of balance.

I invite you to grab your journal,

Or your paper,

Or your phone,

Or whatever you're going to use.

And I'm going to throw a couple of questions out.

And I'm going to invite you to just write down whatever comes to mind.

We're not solving any huge world problems today.

We're just going to check in a little bit to see how we're feeling.

So the questions I'm going to ask you are these.

How am I feeling right now in this moment?

What are some words,

Just non-sentences,

Just words here and there,

Boom,

Boom,

Boom,

Just random words.

How am I feeling?

Any answer is okay.

Everything is welcome.

There is no judgment whatsoever.

Nobody's going to see this.

The second question is,

Does anything need to shift right now?

Am I ready for a shift or a change?

Is something in me moving in a direction that I maybe didn't notice before?

What might want to shift in me at this moment?

What might want to shift in me?

And again,

These are just words,

Just little jots of things that come.

And the last question is just,

What do I need to be a little more balanced in this moment?

Just phrases,

Just inspiration,

Just loose,

Just gentle,

Just noticing,

Listening.

And now I invite you to sort of step back a little from what you wrote,

Maybe look away and take a breath.

And now I invite you to look back at your paper or whatever you're collecting your thoughts on and sort of just intuit and notice and look,

Is there a theme around balance you could draw from all these little bits and pieces?

Something you're needing,

Something you might want to create later today,

Something you might want to write down,

Take with you,

A learning,

A noticing.

And I invite you to begin to finish this work,

Bring it to a close.

Thank you so much for being with us today.

Your presence,

Your energy and your heart make all the difference in healing our world.

Remember to breathe today,

Breathe and expand.

And I hope you join us again next time.

Please consider inviting a friend.

That's it for Daily Magic for Peace.

Our music is by Terry Hughes.

I'm Colleen Thomas.

Thanks for listening.
